There is a video of Jackson's MLB and NFL careers and it shows even more impressive outfield catches by him. In cricket, generally the boundary directly over the bowler's head is the shortest on the ground, while in baseball stadiums 99% of the time the farthest outfield wall/fence (the term boundary isn't used) is directly over the pitcher's head in dead centerfield. However, the longest home runs are not necessarily hit to dead center, that's just where the deepest part of the outfield is. Once a ball is hit as long as it goes over the wall it's a home run and I think you'll find more home runs hit at great distances (140m-150m) are in the "power alley" of left center field (to the left of dead center field) for a right handed batter and right center field (to the right if dead center field) for a left handed batter. As far as throwing, I'm pretty sure all Americans understand about throwing distances with accuracy. It's what we start doing from ages 8 or 8 in Little League. React to the video Best Outfield Throws, you'll enjoy it.

Thank you for the suggestion. I'll check out more of his highlights for sure!

@@ryan_lloyd Just so you can grasp a bit of his outfield throws. The warning track is around 385ft, or 117 meters. He hit the catcher in the chest from 130 yards. Back of the end zone to back of the end zone throwing a baseball on a football field.

If Bo hadn't suffered a career ending injury I truly believe he had a shot at having a Hall of Fame career in both sports. Dude was a beast.
@ryan_lloyd11 ай бұрын
I think so too. Especially since he was already an MLB all star and NFL pro-bowler.
@bettyrose959Ай бұрын
I don't see any issue that it won't happen. Even in short, his career is record breaking in both sports.

Bo was amazing in that time and that they also showed the Deion Sanders catch was fitting. Being two amazing two sport athletes. And that part of their careers were concurrent was even more awesome. You would get a few laughs if you ever watched his “Bo Knows” commercials from when he was playing

It's unreal to me how those two amazing athletes could have excelled in two major sports at the same time. Two of the all time great sportsmen!

@dripsports sanders was playing in the world series and playing football at the same time, using private jets to get back and forth.

The whitesox highlights were after his very bad football injury.

Imagine he never got injured 😔

@dripsports in fact his athletic ability made the hip injury worse because he was running so fast and powerfully.

Deion and Bo, they played baseball in late 80's & early 90's

If the ball is thrown towards the outside of the plate it’s actually better to go with the pitch to the opposite field. “Pulling” the pitch to the batter’s side of the field usually results in a weaker hit, though if you’re strong enough you can still hit it out.

Bo Jackson was good ...but if you're talking about multi-sport professional players, you gotta admit Neon Deion Sanders: he had a longer baseball carrier than Bo, is in the football Hall of Fame, played in the World Series, and The Super Bowl. He played offense and defense in football. And returned kick-offs.

longer career because he didn't get hurt like Bo

Majority of young boys grow up playing baseball, basketball and American football. There’s a lot of professional athletes now that played another sport in college and/or were drafted into another sport than what they’re in now. If a team signs an athlete that was also drafted into another sport (ex: NFL player that was also drafted by a team in MLB) their contract would normally prohibit that player from also playing professionally for the other sport. We’ll probably never see anyone playing 2 sports professionally at the same time again. Too much money is involved!

That makes a lot of sense. So much more money involved and more to lose for franchises these days.

Bo is EASILY the greatest athlete that I have seen in my 52 years..... EASILY!!!
