Aliyah played for South Carolina when Caitlin and the Hawkeyes beat them in the 2023 semifinal (the only defeat the Gamecocks took in about 2 years). Aliyah was last year’s #1 WNBA draft pick. And now they finally get to join forces and they’re becoming besties. Has been beautiful to watch their court chemistry evolving.

I am a 74 year old male from Tasmania Australia. I am not a sporting person, and I have never been in interested in basketball, let alone women's basketball, let alone US women's basket ball. But somehow a Caitlin Clark video popped into my KZbin feed, so out of perverse curiosity I watched it. And I was blown away by her brillance and suddenly became a Clark and Indiana fan. I can't stop watching!

Do you know the last time I regularly looked at a sports league schedule? Me neither. But now I'm regularly on the WNBA page for schedules, standings and stats. All because of CC. And because of CC, I'm really getting to appreciate some of the others play. I so appreciate your fresh and insightful perspective. Watching these highlights I just realized how refreshing these announcers are: they aren't afraid to give CC her due. In the WNBA it's like they have been told to low key CC and always mention another player at the same time.

JB! Don't know if you noticed this, but at 14:50 in this video it showed South Carolina was 36-0. The only game South Carolina lost that year was from Iowa and Caitlin Clark. So Caitlin took South Carolina's record to 36-1.

CC is simply amazing. She has it all, the skills, court vision, passing, dribbling, and of course shooting. I heard about her about 1.5 years ago. I'd never watched womens college basketball and I watched one of her games and I was hooked. It' painful now to watch her on a WNBA team where her players don't pass, and they're disjointed and undisciplined. She was averaging 32 points a game when she had people that would set picks for her. Now, it's just chaos on the court and her coach is absolutely clueless. She can do so much more but her team is just a mess. It's getting better, at least Boston is better. The rest are still playing for themselves and can't catch a pass to save their a$$es. That's why so many people are upset. She gets into the WNBA and is hard fouled, frozen out by her own players, and her coach sits her on the bench or won't let her lead the offense. She's the #1 pick and her coach has no idea what to do with her or how to use her. The WNBA is a pit of jealous, vindictive, petty women and it's sad that college women don't have a better place to go. But that's what happens when the NBA funds a product for over 25 years that has never made a dollar and lost millions every year. All they care about is activism. They get paid no matter how they play.

All true. I hope they learn their lesson before it's too late. They have a once in a lifetime chance to turn everything around and it's so cringe inducing to watch them squander it.

I'm not American, so I'm not exposed to any College basketball. But a few months ago some video suggestions started to appear on my KZbin, with the name "Caitlin Clark". After a while I decided to press the link to see why this name keeps appearing. It was some television piece about a great game of hers, maybe the one in which she broke the record for all-time points. The TV anchor was shouting after one of her crazy Logo 3 pointers something like : "Oh no she didn't!". After a period of time I learned that she plays for a WNBA team called "Indiana Fever". I started to watch after quite a few games after the beginning of the season. I got to know the players and liked the starting of the chemistry between them and Caitlin. First with Temi, and after she was injured - with Aliyah. Caitlin made me like the team. I also enjoy listening to them speak to the press. They're so different from many other players in the WNBA, whom I also got to know now. They are nice, humble, spreading good vibes, while the others remind me of a trash TV reality show. The Fever are good as superheroes fighting the supervillains. Now I watch their games live on KZbin, even if they start at 2:30 am in my country. I have become addicted to Caitlin and her loveable team.

Her head coach in the WNBA is a bit of a narcissist and is stuck on believing she knows more about basketball then everyone else believes that the old style of basketball is what works and will win for them but they have been at the bottom of the league since 2015. Even with the top 1 pick AB last year only won 12 games…this year with Clark doing her style they have now half way through have a record of 11-14 and can easily hopefully win their next game against the wings before the Olympic break. They are sitting in the 7th spot in the rankings making them in the playoff spot which they haven’t gone to since before 2015. The coach believes she is a SG not a PG and keeps trying to still force her into playing as a SG and this last game was forcing her into playing as a SG even at times as a PF and almost lost them the game up until the forth until she finally gave in and allowed CC to be her and play her game and be a PG, won them the game; she went off with the team… It’s like she was trying to prove a point but all she did was prove she knows nothing about basketball and that without CC they wouldn’t be where they are right now and winning as they are. She wants as a coach to so desperately be able to say that if not for me CC wouldn’t have the career she has or be the player she is. She is unable to ever take accountability for anything that goes wrong; always throws CC and her top players under the bus. Will outright tell the media their private conversations that will get it used against them and have it used to make them an even bigger target put on their backs when they already have one. Even when they win she is always negative and will find something to throw them under the bus about while at the same time hyping up her two favorite players who are the two worst players wheeler and Wallace; wheeler who also has a max contract being paid over $250,000 a year. Uses them to knock down her top players and destroy their self confidence, did it to AB in the beginning of the season, then did it to smith using Temi to sit Smith as a bench player and told her that she didn’t she a place for her on the team and going to all but fade her out, it’s all hallmark narcissist behavior to try and gaslight your top players that you see as a threat to your own self worth and if you can knock them down get them to start believing you or question their own self worth or confidence then it makes them feel better about themselves; builds up their own self worth and ego which is why not only is she not good for the game but for the players own mental health well being. She needs go along with the GM who herself is stuck in the 1980s style of basketball who doesn’t even know anything about the playing style of CC and has said that CC has to learn to fit in with Sides style of play and not the other way around.
@kenswift123453 ай бұрын

It’s a shame her haters always bring up the 2 championship losses, it’s not like they didn’t beat both teams they just didn’t get it done in the same year.
