@@surfcricket Both Cheslin and Wade's parents were athletes/rugby players/tennis players etc. at a relatively high level when they were younger. So yes, speed/sport runs in that family (there have been a ton of dynasties in rugby where for example the dad played pro, and his kid/kids are also pro)

In rugby we don't have offense and defence like in the NFL. We have 8 forwards (the big dudes), who take part in the scrums and lineouts, and 7 backs, who are the fast, tricky guys, like Kolbe, Arendse and Fassi. All 15 players are responsible for defence and attack. ❤ from CPT, SA

Cheslin is the GOAT.That kick he studied how the guy kicks. How many seconds he looks at the ball, how many seconds he looks at the poles, then looks back at the ball. How many steps he takes backwards and sideways. Then he knew how to time his run perfectly

To explain the clip where he blocks the kick. You're allowed to charge down the kicker only once the kicker starts moving to kick the ball, until then you have to stand on the try line. Cheslin played a few seasons in France (where a lot of the highlights are from) and he was on the same club team as the guy who was kicking so he knew his exact kicking routine and that's how he was able to time the charge down perfectly to block the kick.

They dive into the "end zone" because you have to place the ball to score (the place where they place it down also determines where the kicker has to kick the conversion from, that's why you see players trying to get the ball as close to the goal posts as they can after already running into the "end zone")
