❤BIBLE VERSE OF THE DAY❤ EPHESIANS 6:1-4 NIV 6 Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. 2 “Honor your father and mother”-which is the first commandment with a promise- 3 “so that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth.”[a] 4 Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.

The final shot of John Candy in THIS film, waving goodbye, and another shot in the final moments of Planes, Trains and Automobiles of John Candy looking lovingly at Steve Martin kissing his wife, ALWAYS makes me feel a bittersweet, melancholy feeling for the loss of John Candy at such an early and young age!! 😢❤ Can't help but shed a tear!!😢

John Candy was justs a big huggy bear of a man. I had the pleasure of seeing him at an LA Kings hockey game with his kids, and I'd look over every once in a while to see the kids laughing and a big smile on his face. We lost him way too soon, but he left us a tremendous catalog of happiness. I cannot imagine anybody not loving this thoughtful man. I always enjoy watching your true pleasure in reaction to these films. thank you for sharing.

Tia didn't want to put out so Bug left ger for another girl. That was why she was crying. He was only after one thing, which is what Uncle Buck told her at the beginning.

The moment that broke my heart was when Buck unfolded the wedding photo. It rarely gets an emotional response from reactors. I think you are the first one. It hits home for me bc my family wants nothing to do with me. I've fallen on hard times and instead of them coming to my aide, they pretend that I don't exist. It has broken me in every way. They have made me feel like a worthless failure.

I was 8 in 1985. My mom worked 2 jobs, and after school, I would watch my 6 year old brother until my mom got home around 8. Us Gen X were called latch key kids because of things like that.

Great reaction and your analysis of the family dynamic was excellent. Whenever I see this, or "Planes, Trains and Automobiles," I think of what the world lost with the premature deaths of John Candy and John Hughes. At any rate, GREAT reaction video!

I think Tia will pick up that phone and call her new best friend uncle Buck . Buck has a wisdom and a sense of humour all his own. Mom has seen this , and Buck will aways be welcome in their home to keep the laughs and flow going. That wave says everything.

I loved that you loved this movie. This movie is classic..funny part is the actress who played Tia..Jean Louisa Kelly...actually adored John. I think it is inferred that Bug tried getting her to sleep with him and Tia realized Buck was right. Buck didn't need to tell the parents, he realized Tia learned her lesson and realized her anger was misplaced. As father myself, sometimes your kids have to stumble and fall, but you don't need to do "I told you so" or make them feel worse. ;) For example you can tell a child a stove is hot and do not touch, but eventfully the child will touch and learn the hard way. Sometimes kids don't listen to parents' advice, but one they learn something the hard way they / we do listen.

1. Many say "Planes Trains and Automobiles", but I say this was his best. 2. Of course it's Chicago. This is a John Hughes film. 3. Macaulay Culkin got the "Home Alone" gig because Hughes loved him in this. 4. That's the same high school used by Hughes for "The Breakfast Club", "Weird Science" and "Ferris Bueller's Day Off". 5. Making a stack of pancakes that big would take A LOT of work. (and money)🤑🤑 6. Tell me you didn't enjoy this. I dare you. 7. RIP John Candy.😇

Tia got a wake-up call, yeah Bug was interested in only one thing and when she said no, he moved immediately to his next prey and probably used the "we just broke up and I'm so sad" ploy to get an sympathy in with the new girl. John Candy could play the oblivious obnoxious guy with the heart of gold to a tee, we lost him far too soon but I know he's got the angels in stitches up there.

Most dogs like beer, especially hoppy beer. One beer in a blue moon won't hurt them. That's PETA propaganda. All of my dogs from 1975 thru 2015 loved beer. I gave them one a month, tops. It's a treat. But nix to the toilet water. And don't freak at Percy being in the dryer. He wasn't put there. Dogs like the heat (it's winter in this movie) and my brother's Australian Shepherd used to crawl into their dryer after a load was taken out. They had a rule of leaving dryer door open when done or not in use so she could lay in it safely.

Don't know what lame high school you went to..must be age difference..but lots of good things happened at our parties in high school in the early 80s. Could drink, listen to music, interact with friends, meet new ones..some of us outlaw types got high, drunk and laid. Glad I grew up with real freedom. Lol

Buck could've dropped the kids off at school and then went to work. May have been late, but at least he would've still made it in. But if Shanice did fire him, then it's moot.
@zedwpd3 сағат бұрын
So you know how far Kobolowski tire is from the school? Shanice even said "Did you find some morals way out in the suburbs" which implies she was in the inner city and not close. And it's also a movie and not a documentary so it's a plot device, otherwise there'd be no movie or scenes with Marcie, no scene with him going to Maizie's school, etc.

the one thing I don't like or get about this movie is Buck compared himself to Bug as if he was like him when he was younger yet its hard to believe Buck was anything like that.

@@Luckydraw4me true I can see him being the life a party but remember he says this Buck: The guy's a predator and you're his prey. Tia: Really? Buck: You bet. Tia: And how would you know? Buck: When I was his age, I was a guy zooming girls like you. Pretty face, good chip on your shoulder. But I can't see Buck ever being like this it's not about age it's personality.

I love movies but don't get caught up in the actors and their lives like goes on so much in the gossip world of entertainment. That said, when John Candy died it really bothered me. By all accounts he was a righteous dude and a master of his craft.

Used to be one of my favorite movies until recently. Its actually kinda depressing. Total disfunction in the family. I remember laughing alot at this movie but as ive gotten older, not so much. Im 61 now. The ending is still good but the rest is just meh...
@zedwpd3 сағат бұрын
it's a made up family not a documentary. It's like trying to analyze the Jetsons or something. And it's not a totally dysfunctional family. It's a partially dysfunctional family otherwise there wouldn't have been any redemption.
