Single mother Tess Coleman (Jamie Lee Curtis) and her teenage daughter Anna (Lindsay Lohan) couldn't be more different, and it is driving them both insane. After receiving cryptic fortunes at a Chinese restaurant, the two wake up the next day to discover that they have somehow switched bodies. Unable to switch back, they are forced to masquerade as one another until a solution can be found. In the process, they develop a new sense of respect and understanding for one another.

this!! so many people are quick to only see what the daughter does wrong without realizing the mother is messing up too and that the whole point of the story and the lesson is they're both in the wrong.

Actually imo Jamie did a wonderful job of portraying Lindsay in the movie, bc the daughter character acted exactly like that, stereotypical rebellious teenager, even before the body switch. You can also remember that even the daughter in Jamie's body before acted very mean to the little brother

I wasnt scared but i could never yell at my parents. They werent ones to shout, or physically punish beyond the occasional spank, but they clearly had built enough respect and discipline that the idea of shouting at them didnt exist to me. all of my anger was released through slamming my bedroom door and silently swearing at it!

Thank you for reacting to this film! I recently lost my mother and seeing this reaction helped brighten my day. There are a total of four film adaptions of Freaky Friday. This my fave versions in this order: Freaky Friday(2003), Freaky Friday(1976), Freaky Friday (2018), and Freaky Friday (1995). If you love Lindsay Lohan, I highly recommend you check out The Parent Trap, Life Size, Get A Clue, Confessions of A Teenage Drama Queen, Mean Girls, Herbie Full Loaded, and Just My Luck. For Jaime Lee Curtis I definitely recommend Christmas with the Kranks, You Again, and Beverly Hills Chihuahua. 👩🏻‍🦰🧑🏻 🥠👥🔁🎸💼🩷💚

I found the original Freaky Friday boring compared this version. In my opinion, this is one of those rare instances where the remake is better than the original.
