It's summer break and the kids of East High are out for some fun in the sun. Unfortunately, they are all broke and must get jobs in order to be able to afford to enjoy themselves. Troy thinks his problem is solved when he gets a job at Sharpay's family resort, but doesn't realise she has an ulterior motive for hiring him. Luckily, some of his fellow Wildcats have jobs there too.

Zac didn't sing in the first one because the songs were already written and his voice was too low for the songs and notes but 2nd and 3rd movie were written specifically for his voice so he can sing in them.

5:38 he only didn’t sing because he couldn’t hit high enough notes but he fought for singing in the second and third so he got vocal lessons to win the spot to sing himself in the rest of the movies

In the movie setting is Albuquerque, New Mexico. But really in Utah is the actual setting. Miley is in the movie because before it came out Disney gave people chance to vote who they wanted to make a cameo & Miley won.

I feel like you’re missing some things about the scholarship situation; there’s nothing wrong with Troy working on getting it or wanting it. And there’s nothing wrong with him needing to take time away from his friends to attain it. The issue is his lack of communication and attitude. He should have just been honest with everyone from the get go and just been kind. BUT. I will say. I did not enjoy how they made Troy the problem again in this movie. It felt like retreading the same vibe as the first one to me. And I also see how much pressure he’s under now watching this as an adult. The adults in the movie are being predatory with him because they’re in power and he can’t really say no in a lot of these scenes.

Something that always bothered me, even when I saw it the day it came out, is how Sharpay knew how much Troy needed the scholarship and used it for her convenience because she, to me, felt that if Troy was given that scholarship he would be in her and her family debt and so he would end up with her

I definitely relate to the discussion on life getting more serious and planning for the future. I see why his friends would be bothered by Troy's defensiveness and whatnot, but... It definitely reminds me of a breakup I had. I wish I had exited when I stopped feeling like a priority but I gave it more like two years of supporting someone's pursuit of the future, but when they did have time off I wasn't high on the priority list because the priority balance seemed to have shifted due to what they were focused on. I remember after the breakup rewatching old comfort movies and this series ended up in the mix. xD It was hilarious, but I also cried a lot more often and cathartically than anticipated. Being twelve and watching these movies was something else, I tell you. Glad you're watching them now! So funny as an adult, but also still fun and cute.

Same lol, I remember everybody in my class at elementary school getting so hyped for high school musical 2 coming out in the theatres & I had absolutely no idea what anybody was talking about as I'd never even heard of the first one lol, but I went with all my friends and watched it in the cinema & I was INVESTED in the characters lmao. I even remember going shopping to get the soundtrack CD a few days later :D I think I was only like 8 at the time, it randomly popped in my head recently & I can still remember near enough every single word to every song 😅

JV, need your help hun. Just got a notification from another channel that they are deleting this kid's channel. He is so heartbroken & upset. I remember that you & Jane had an issue on your other channel but managed to fix it. Any advice that could help?? I just checked out his channel. It looks like he only has 2 strikes now so his channel should be good. Hopefully he doesn't get a third strike again. The 2 strikes he has now will go away in 90 days. If he appeals the strikes and they don't respond it will go away in 7 days. He should be ok
