I remember watching this movie with my sister in October 2000 a week before my 10th birthday and it scared the hell out of me!

Great reaction! I just finished watching your reactions to Star Trek 2, 3, and 4, so now my favourite movie ever made. I'm 43, i first saw this when i was 5, but it was only when i was in my early 20s that I really fell in love with this, and began to fully appreciate it.

"It's Halloween. Everyone's entitled to one good scare." Fun Fact: John Carpenter considered the hiring of Jamie Lee Curtis as the ultimate tribute to Sir Alfred Hitchcock who had given her mother, Janet Leigh, legendary status in Psycho (1960). Accidental Trope Creation Fact: John Carpenter and Debra Hill have stated many times over the years that they did not consciously set out to depict virginity as a way of defeating a rampaging killer. The reason why the horny teens all die is simply that they are so preoccupied with getting laid that they don't notice that there is a killer at large. On the other hand, Laurie Strode spends a lot of time on her own and is therefore more alert. Face Of Evil Fact: Because of the film's tight budget, the production designer Tommy Lee Wallace had to use whatever he had at his disposal, or had to buy materials cheaply. When he created the Michael Myers mask, he made two versions. The first was a Don Post Emmett Kelly smiling clown mask that they put frizzy red hair on. They tested it out and it appeared very demented and creepy. The other mask was a 1975 Captain James T. Kirk mask that was purchased in a costume shop on Hollywood Boulevard for $1.98. It had the eyebrows and sideburns ripped off, the face was painted bluish white, the hair was spray painted brown, and the eyes were opened up more. After testing out the mask, the crew decided that it was much more creepy because it was emotionless.

Great reaction! I just discovered your channel and I'm so happy that I did, I can't wait to start watching your other videos (I subscribed and turned on the notifications)! Halloween is not just my favorite horror movie but it's my favorite movie EVER!!! Couple of fun little facts: Six different people played Michael Myers in the film. In the final scene, actor Donald Pleasance (Dr. Loomis) told director John Carpenter (my favorite director of all time by the way) that when Dr. Loomis shoots Michael Myers, and looks over the railing, that he could act/play the scene one of two ways.....the first being the reaction of "oh my god, he's gone" or the second way which was "I knew that this would happen" (which of course was the right way). Halloween was the top grossing independent movie of all time until The Blair Witch Project surpassed it in the late 90's. Again, totally rad reaction Ola (can I call you that?). Many blessings to you and yours.

I just enjoy this film because Michael Myers is another very cool horror icon just like Jason Voorhees, Chucky the doll, Freddy Krueger, Ghostface, Leatherface, and Candyman, Also, I love this first 1978 Michael Myers mask and the Michael Myers mask from the Halloween 2018 film, Fantastic reaction as always Olavity.

Olavity as I'm certain/sure ya already noticed Michael The Boogeyman/The Shape Myers is no ordinary flesh n blood psychopathic Serial Killer from how hard he's 2 kill (Superhuman Physical Durability + Superhuman Physical Arm Strength of unknown degree/limit) as well as inexplicably appears & disappears/vanishes (seemingly teleports theoretically) plus lifting something as hard 2 lift as grave/head stone n carry it far distances using nothing but his bare hands combined with his freakish level physical arm strength!

Enjoyed your reaction to a great horror classic. I think she could have stabbed Michael 10 times, or even cut his head off, he still somehow would get up😅

I guess you're not the only one coming in super late' I just saw this one now! Halloween is for sure one of the best classic horror films' I'm looking forward to your reaction next year for Halloween 2 (1981), I would also like to recommend another older classic horror film the original Japanese version of Godzilla (1954). I wonder if I should have requested that one over on Jurassic Park? Oh well its on here now' I hope I get to see it in the near future on your channel, I think you will like it!

The ultimate horror movie night, John Carpenter triple feature: Halloween The Thing The Fog You have to drink a shot of tequila every time you jump, scream or try to hide your eyes. Your mission, should you decide to accept it. Good luck.

Carpenter made the music himself and this is one of the best slashers of all time. After this the genre started to go down hill a bit.

Dr Sam Loomis (the name of Jamie Lee Curtis' real life mother's boyfriend in Psycho) is insane. If, as he claims, Michael has NEVER spoken or reacted in 15 years, how does Loomis know that Michael is 'pure evil'? Michael has been "sitting in a room, staring at a wall, not even seeing the wall". Why does Loomis assume that Michael ate the dog? Of course Michael IS evil, but Loomis has no way to know that. Michael NEVER spoke to Loomis, but SOMEONE taught Michael to drive! I love watching reaction videos. But you guys always behave as though the protagonist knows what WE do. They are not aware that they are IN a horror movie. Even in Scream, they don't actually know that they are in a horror movie. So they do not behave as though they are being stalked.
