The thing about howlers is the longer the recipient ignores them, the worse it gets, hence what Neville warned Ron. Once finally opened the voice of the sender will end up being even louder (based on however long it was ignored), and if it's left ignored for a week, it will explode. This just basically ensures that the recipient opens it right away once received.

Wizards with Muggle parents (BOTH parents) are called Muggle-borns. Those wizards have magic because they have wizarding ancestry, possessing an ancestor that is a squib, that is the opposite of a Muggle-born: a person with magical parents but unable to use magic. Most squibs end up integrating in the Muggle world, as they find difficult to live in the magical world, forming families with Muggles, thus passing the wizarding gene that eventually manifest itself in future generations.

It's easy to understand why Harry doesn't trust adults, even Dumbledore, when you think about how and who he was raised by, and what he had to go through. He's never had any adult figure in his life that's been good, supportive, kind, loving, etc. He's freaked out about what's happening, but even then, he hasn't learned he can trust adults yet. It doesnt show it so much in the movies but Harry does help the weasleys with money if they let him every once in a while and he's always buying his friends treats and stuff at school. Also, one of my favorite theories/headcanons is that if you look at Draco in the bookshop, you'll see him tear a page out of a book right around the same time his dad slips ginny the diary. Hermione is a muggle-born meaning she's the first in her line, her family, born with witchy powers. you can be pure blood (inbred or intermix), half blood (intermix with muggles) or muggle-born. Ron is pure blood (Molly Arthur are 4th cousins and had no clue that they were 4th cousins bc they are so far apart in the genetic tree), Harry is half blood, and Hermione is muggle-born.
@davinamathew4513 Жыл бұрын
well just asking.. isn't technically harry also pure-blood instead of half-blood coz even if lily was muggle-born, she was a witch nd that means both of harry's parents were wizards... so.....🤔
@kamilyafreshwater3770 Жыл бұрын
@@davinamathew4513 No he is still technically half. In the books it is explained that purebloods are witches and wizards with no muggle ancestors (or so they say). The fact that Harry has two muggle grandparents (lily’s mom and dad) means that he cannot claim pure blood since it can be traced that he has muggle ancestry. Even most pureblood families aren’t pure. To hide this they usually disown or even kill family members who don’t marry other purebloods or at least half bloods. Nymphadora aka Tonks is a great example of this. She is from the Black family (sirius, bellatrix, narcissa) one of the oldest pureblood families. However her pureblood mom married a muggleborn wizard and she was disowned along with her parents. Someone in Order of the Phoenix (I don’t want to spoil anything) actually calls Harry a filthy halfblood.
@sersastark Жыл бұрын
@davinamathew4513 nope he's still half blood. Being born with magical gifts makes you a muggle born witch. It doesn't change your "blood status" within the wizarding world. James is pure blood. I don't think we've seen a truth reveal spell until perhaps Fantastic Beasts, but my memory isn't everything. There's many truth spells, and most spells are very specific, so you're not gonna get exactly what you want with magic. I think that's why I like this series, it's a lot like real life, just a significant juxtaposition.

1:27:04 you see since tom is still a memory from the book ,destroying the book destroyes him. Book gets destroyed because of basilisk venom in the tooth ,its has very destructive power. In books harry is healed immediately by fawks and then he destroyes the books . He wouldn't live even a minute otherwise, movies did it in the wrong order

I love how the first four books and movies (But mostly books) are basically fantasy detectives. We have a case, and we have a ton of suspects, clues and false throughout the story, until we fet the revealation at the end, piecing it all together!

Later in life they will describe why stabbing the book killed his memory, also will explain the concept of "memory" and how a memory could come back, they had to call him that so they didn't reveal anything about how he was trying to return. You don't learn how or why for a while.

Still, here and now for the first-time watchers, it is clear that the "memory" of Voldemort was directly connected to his diary and that was enough explanation. If a prop causes so much havoc, "kill" the prop. Harry's logic was sound. :)

The best thing about this channel is listening to the guy at the bottom of the screen. Not often you see someone with the IQ of a broken stapler. 😂

ya house elves all can use magic no wands easily, and so can wisards if they practice or get emotal, wands just make it easier and faster as a casting aid. remember first movie one guy stirring his drink with no wand while reading a book.

They do just keep getting better for a while, but around the time you hit 4 is where everyone's favorite starts to split, some people's favorite is 3 some peoples favorite is 4 some people's favorites are 5 6 7 or 8 even too! lol. The first 3-4 get progressively better but then it's up to personal preference they are all pretty good. One director messed one of them up in a few ways but I'm not going to say which one, or how, because a lot of people love it anyway and I don't want to color your opinion before you can make it for yourself! :)

I enjoy hearing peoples opinions on things but one thing that URKS me is when someone say "this sucks and this is why" because it might not suck to everyone in that way and if you say that they'll go into it with negative vibe to start. So I feel like you should share what you like about something, but if the person hasn't seen it yet, you shouldn't say anything negative until afterward and then share your negativity lol. I hate seeing someone trying to make other people dislike what they dislike. "If you got nothing nice to say, say nothing at all." -Thumper lol

Although not confirmed to my knowledge, it is said that dumbledore has the power of true sight. And that's why he could see through the invisibility cloak. Dumbledore is an OG hands down.

I’ll always find it funny that the fact that the reason why Hogwarts always has a new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher every year is because Voldemort cursed that position after Dumbledore rejected his application during his interview. No teacher will last more than a year. Lol He was just being spiteful 😵💫😵
