I love the fact that they don't do the easy, lazy tropes of the supers. Bob and Helen are, true, professionals at their jobs. Bob isn't just a musclehead, he had fantastic situational awareness thinks tactically, like when he came home after the fire and, immediately, knew someone was in the room with him, before Helen made a noise or moved. He uses his strength intelligently and precisely. Helen has multiple skills, including being a fighter pilot. She, also, uses her powers imaginatively and effectively. I loved seeing the kids learning about their powers in real time too. It makes sense that they don't know how to use them effectively because they had to hide them for their whole lives. All in all, a well done, refreshing, supers movie.

Furthermore, as a family of supers, it's not simply _just_ "we're a family, we fight together." Helen and Bob are going through some serious family stuff, Helen especially.

@@enigmatic2878 Exactly. The parents are trying to adjust to a life they never expected, and it's hard. The kids see the struggle, but don't understand it. A small moment that I really liked was when they reunite on the island and are attacked by the flyers. Mom and Dad react in an instant taking them all down. The look on the kid's faces seeing their parents in action, not only for the first time, but how they work together was perfect.

Clark isn't just about the glasses, he has a different hairstyle, he slouches, he uses baggy clothes and glasses, and Clark is shy. It's nothing like Superman, no one would think Clark is a godly figure like Superman. James Gunn's new Superman movie, from what I've seen behind the scenes, Clark will finally be accurate and look diffrent from Superman, so I am glad Clark and Superman is back to being the real Clark and Superman and not that terrible adaptation of Man of Steel, which was nothing like Superman.

WOOOO 3:49 and that is the worst way to do it Literally lower it all the down to her Bob's so frantic or distant or smth that he doesn't understand that holding on would be most mammals first thoughts when things start shaking/moving/collapsing 😒 it's so minor in the movie but it annoys me sm because it feels like he lacks the common sense for the situation (actually the owner too), and then some claws could/will be ripped out that way 8:56 I mean, "he's gonna jump" so everyone knew it wasn't a random fall 9:13 but DANG 11:59 nah it's visible. It can almost be written off 12:15 it's super clear the first time 56:54 knows... I don't think that was a happy sigh
