I think what Ron was feeling at that moment which makes him the most human of the three, I mean, it's easy to sit back and criticize and say that he's wrong for acting like that. But we all say things that can sound horrible when we are really desperate and tired. Ron loves Harry and Hermione and he would live and die for them but he was living a real hell in his mind and he was also sick with concern for his family, as we would be in his place, and the horcrux only served to poison him even more. That's why it's not fair to throw rocks at Ron just because he said a couple shits when he was upset. It's not like nobody else does. Why is it so hard to understand Ron or try not to compare him to Harry and Hermione? Certainly he is neither of them nor does he feel like them. He may not be that logical or practical, but at least that makes him the most believable character. It's easy to understand Ron if you just try, but most don't because they are ashamed to admit that they would be like that because that doesn't fit with their own ideal of a hero.

That brought out the worst in him and war doesn't always keep people together. Stop judging him. You don't know what it's like to be in a situation like that In fact, in the book Ron did not want to approach the horcrux again, not even to destroy it with the sword after Harry offered it to him, because he knew how it affected him and explained: "It is beyond my strength, I do not intend to justify my attitude, but to me, it affects me a lot more than you or Hermione. When I wore it around my neck, it made me think about things, things that came to my mind for NO REASON and made EVERYTHING seem much worse" When he succeeds in destroying the horcrux, he apologizes to Harry and he forgives him because Ron was able to fight and win against his worst insecurities and also because Ron saved his life from drowning. Yea! Underworld was my intro to Bill Nighy too. Man has a real knack for the villain roles. He was also great as the heavily-CGI'd Davy Jones in Pirates too. That character acting showed right through. And Scream next? Hell yea. Great films. You'll love 'em. Must be getting ready for no. 5. :)

Dobby’s death truly hit hard, to all us Potterhead’s. Reading the books and all the things that Dobby did for Harry in all those years, sucks the movie didn’t give him any more screen time cause Dobby played such a huge role in 5 of the 7 books. First time reading Dobby dying started doing what you did Mello, just couldn’t hold the tears, then seeing it on screen, couldn’t fight the tears.
@PizzaHorseProductions2 жыл бұрын
That part with Dobby got me too, man. And when I was reading these books to my kid, we had to stop after Hedwig died. We picked it up again a few days later, but Deathly Hallows pulled no punches.

Honestly, I don't think you should be hating so much on Ron. In the book, they emphasize on it more, but he's the youngest boy in his family and also got the worst deal (run-down/old clothes, lacked in smarts, etc). And the moment he got a friend, one of them was the most famous person in the world and the other was the smartest in the whole school. Often in the movies, we see small moments when he cracks, because he's not living to expectations at home or school. (Ron wasn't always the happiest at home in the books either) Harry at least found that comfort at school, Ron didn't.

Don't be so hard on Ron❤. Between feeling like your brothers have already done everything. So nothing you do is impressive. And being The Chosen Ones best friend.. you can see why he is jealous/emotional. The movies don't give enough of the good of Ron. They very much made him comic relief throughout all 8 movies. He was more. He was the heart.❤ Hermione the Brain. Harry the body. Together all three took us on an adventure that would have been less without the whole.
@Emma881782 жыл бұрын
Another thing that's important to note is Ron's complete transformation in both this film and part 2 into a much more serious, smarter and all around badass and cool character was something that should have been shown in ALL films. For some bizarre reason, they butchered his character in the previous films and turned him into a bumbling fool when he was NEVER like that in the books. Like they just wanted him to be the comic relief with no other substance or whatever. So to see his portrayal here and in part 2 as completely different and SO MUCH BETTER really made great for us fans. And even for those who didn't care for him before, they really started to like him as a favorite character after these two films and that's really saying something.

I really like this one because this is the only movie where they're not in hogwarts and it has a new feel to it especially with the handheld camera shots To me this one stands out, out of all the Harry Potter movies

About the disrespect to Harry from Ron, Ron's entire is in the Order or indirectly. And they've been targeted since day one. And you can see that how much the children and family get targeted: ginny in the second film, Arthur in the fifth, Bill in the sixth film/seventh book. So yeah, Ron is so terrified that his family might be dead. Yes Harry is target no. 1, which only scares Ron even more

I know that people dogged on this finale, movie-version, but having read the books, the only weirdness is that these two parts went BACK to the books. Mostly. This part almost perfectly captured the strain on the three main characters. The isolation. The desolation.
@katwebbxo2 жыл бұрын
To me it feels like the lowest point of the series, mentally, because you can sense the hopelessness and stress.
@fettel19882 жыл бұрын
@@katwebbxo Right. There's no variance to the emotional range here. BUT, contextually, much like the first movie captured the feel of magic very quickly, this movie nailed capturing bleak oppression.

The movies didn't show The Dursleys redemption. In Deleted Scenes, both Petunia and Dudley had only a few words that showed such a big redemption arc... Petunia- "You didn't just lose a mother in Godric's Hollow, I lost a sister" Dudley- "I don't think you're a waste of space"

Oh, with the mention of Dobby. In the books, the food that appeared for the people at Hogwarts was actually made by elves in a “secret” kitchen in the castle. It’s behind a giant fruit painting I think.

nooo, a reason why i prefer the books over the movies is bc they changed ron so much, most of his lines were given to hermione and they made him even a tad problematic but I promise, in the books he is a sweetheart and probably the bravest of the three when its necessary

Harry and Hermione have more chemistry with each other in just a few scenes together.Then they do with either Ron or Ginny in the entire franchise. Emma Watson said that kissing Rupert Grint (Ron's actor) felt like she was kissing her brother 😅😁😁😅😂

i (late asf) watched some of the anniversary harry potter interviews, and the one with emma (luna) was really sweet because she was talking about the first time she'd met rhys who plays luna's father xenophilius which was during this film at the wedding. and she was super wholesome talking about how nice it was to feel like luna wasn't the only eccentic one, and that she truly came from a loving and weird family and having rhys there and them dancing like that in their outfits was a really big moment for her in her journey as luna

Btw, the reason they call Voldemort "You Know Who" is because the death eaters put a magical tracer on his name; whenever someone speaks his name aloud, they'll know exactly where they are

Another scene changed for the movie is Peter Pettigrews death. In the scene of Peter Pettigrew where he goes to get the prisoners from their cell. In the books he hesitates when Harry said he spared him from the dementors. After he hesitates his hand, that Voldemort gave him, turns on him and chokes him to death.
