I am legend is based on a book, and in the book it explains that Neville is being hunted by the dark walkers because they view him as a mad scientist who hunts and capture them to do medical experiments on. When you remember that wall of patients he keeps who all died from his research, it makes sense that the dark walkers misunderstand him as a predator rather than someone trying to help them.

The crazy thing is that they actually didn't exactly care immensley to begin with. Yes, he was the dangerous predator to them, but it's obvious they know where he lives regardless of day or night time. He and they have been there for years. Though they live in the shadows, they can still find ways to pin-point his location. They just choose to not do shit until he takes the "Boss"'s lover.

Great reaction to this movie. Very sad when Sam had to be killed for sure, you two are fun to watch! This is the third iteration of this movie. The first was The Last Man On Earth (1964) with Vincent Price, it is a good one to watch. The second was The Omega Man (1971) with Charlton Heston, good in it's own right. And I Am Legend (2007). And here we are at the tail end of a real worldwide pandemic. Good movie.

I think this is the 3rd adaptation of, 'I am Legend' and they still didn't get it right. The alternate ending is closer to the darker theme of the book where, in the end, the 'monsters' are the 'new humans' and the last human on earth is their, 'monster of legend', killing them during their sleep.

Have been watching your videos for a week and have to say they are very enjoyable. Ellie and Michelle's tears are so sweet and I love Larry and Blue's laughter just as much. You've allowed me to enjoy many of my very favorite movies as if I was watching them for the first time. I have to say watching Ellie watch "The Green Mile" nearly broke my heart. I have a few suggestions for you if you would be interested: "Hereditary" (the scariest movie I have ever watched) "Zero Dark Thirty" (sort of a war movie about the hunt for Osama Bin Laden) "Crimson Tide" (a military movie that is very intense) "Hacksaw Ridge" (a military movie, however it focuses on a medic) Keep it up! You guys do a fantastic job.

Video starts, there's a puppy. Oh, this is gonna go places... And this is the re-shot ending. The original had Will Smith realize they came here to get the girl he was running experiments on and gives her back. Sees how they still have some humanity in left and maybe they're just a new better race. Also how they look at all the photos of his "failed test subjects" who were their friends and comes to the conclusion that he has become a monster himself, coming for them in their sleep. This was much closer to the original novel and at least the first movie adaptation. But, of course, the test audience hated that cause it was too smart and didn't have enough things going boom, so they changed it.

this movie is brilliant as is like a reverse vampire movie; Will Smith is dracula, trying to do his own, while most people has to live in dark... that's why the infected people were so afraid and hate him, not because they were different but because the constant harassment. They could do nothing, against the monster that keeps kidnaping and killing people on broad day light, for sake of his own experiments

This is actually a re-re-re-release of the same story/book. Strongly suggest watching the first movie aka "The Last Man on Earth" from 1964 with Vincent Price. You can probably find a re-coloured version too. Vincent is so good in that. If anyone can play madly alone its Vincent. And remember back then "zombies" wasnt even invented. That makes it even more scary. Such a classic.
