Ireland are a fantastic union team. I think a lot depends on the day for this sport. You dont bring your A game you will get run over. Between the top ten anyways. One thing i do love about the sport is the respect given to the ref. And the toughness of the players during the game which is usually forgotten after the whistle and hands are shaken. Amazing.

The guy who scored first Keith Earls was at one time the youngest man to play for the British and Irish Lions that happens every 4 years the best players from Britain and Ireland are selected to play together in one team. He was towards the end of his career there but that man was one hell of a player. Ireland South Africa and New Zealand have a bit of a rivalry at the moment all three are capable meeting each other with France and England very close behind England is definitely capable too. I would suggest watching the highlights Of Ireland vs South Africa both tests it was carnage blood everywhere bodies on the floor heads getting stitched. From Moyross which is a working class part of Limerick, his father was a tradesmen and played for Young Munster but was never capped for Ireland due to being a tradesman. Keith Earls is one of the first professional rugby players who have made public to having Bipolar disorder which he talked about in his book flight or fight. It has to be remembered that rugby is a minority sport in Ireland, 4th behind gaelic football, hurling, and soccer. The population is a bit over 5 million, so the pool is small. The only reason that Ireland has a good rugby side is the way that rugby is managed in Ireland (the same reason why Ireland has a crap soccer team). Saffas and Kiwis live and breathe rugby, it's their majority sport by a fair margin.
