The guy who scored first Keith Earls was at one time the youngest man to play for the British and Irish Lions that happens every 4 years the best players from Britain and Ireland are selected to play together in one team. He was towards the end of his career there but that man was one hell of a player. Ireland South Africa and New Zealand have a bit of a rivalry at the moment all three are capable meeting each other with France and England very close behind England is definitely capable too. It has to be remembered that rugby is a minority sport in Ireland, 4th behind gaelic football, hurling, and soccer. The population is a bit over 5 million, so the pool is small. The only reason that Ireland has a good rugby side is the way that rugby is managed in Ireland (the same reason why Ireland has a crap soccer team). Saffas and Kiwis live and breathe rugby, it's their majority sport by a fair margin.
