I have a whole collection of Robert Downey Jr movies that I could recommend (love me some RDJ). While Tony Stark is probably my favorite character he plays, a few of my other favorite films of his are: Chaplin (his role as Charlie Chaplin was incredible), The Judge (an excellent, suspenseful, dramatic film), Heart and Souls (fun, sentimental and inspirational....I know you'll like it), and Air America (a great match-up with Mel Gibson)

Wow, I'm surprised that you are diving into the MCU so soon! You are in for a ride. These movies are packed with so much detail, great action, and awesome performances. Nothing this grand has been done in comic book movies until the MCU took shape. Judging by your reaction to this, you are going to love the rest of the journey. I am excited for you! "Is that Hef?" - No, that is the legend, Stan Lee. Be on the lookout for his cameo appearance in every Marvel movie up until his passing. Yes, that is Sam Jackson. He was cast in the role of Nick Fury AFTER the character in the comics was rewritten based on Sam Jackson. "Fury, Director of SHIELD" - Never has an end-credit scene or movie cliffhanger paid off more than what the MCU has accomplished thus far; from Phase I, which concludes with 'The Avengers', all the way thru Phase 3, a total of 23 very good movies known as The Infinity Saga. They have become the standard of excellence in comic book movie adaptations...and they're still going.

The energy source is the arc reactor in his chest- the original one generates 3 gigajoules a second, to put that into perspective, that’s enough energy required to obliterate a large supermarket, factory, or complex. His second reactor which was stolen by the villain, generates 8 gigajoules per second, which is more than enough, and this energy empowers the suit giving it superhuman physical capabilities (due to it being robotic) and uses the energy as a pure source to generate thrust

I am a hug comic book nerd, and an Iron Man at that. I was so excited to see this in the theaters because of the great reviews that I was getting from friends and the web. However, I was disappointed with the film when I left. I felt it had not lived up to my expectations. I felt all the hype was so built up that it ruined it for me. It was not until it came out on DVD and I watched it again at home that I truly appreciated this movie. Today, I can watch it every year and not get sick of it because it such an enjoyable film. The Arc Reactor was a device initially designed by Howard Stark, and later adapted by his son, Tony. A massive arc reactor provided power for the sprawling complex of Stark Industries until its destruction. This design was miniaturized by Tony to power a life-saving electromagnet in his chest. "The guy with the patch...his name is Sam" lol. Sameul L Jackson, god amoung actors. Robert Downey Jr, Academy winning actor for 'Chaplin", drunk and drug addict who went to prison. He got his life straigthen out, and the director took the chance for him on Tony Stark. Now RDJ IS the MCU. In the movie you saw a person pretending to be Hugh Hefner. That person was Stan lee he is one at the original creators of Marvel comics. Creating such famous characters like Spider-Man, Iron Man the Hulk, Doctor Strange ,Thor and many many others. He plays different cameo roles in all of the films he has put in there for the comic book fans it’s kind of like a where’s Wally book for the movies. So keep your eyes Open and see if you can spot Stan the man Lee in future movies. You ask where the power for the suits comes from it comes from the arc reactor technology he created that’s what powers it.

Late to the party here but about where the power is coming from for Tony to fly. Tony says the original chest piece can put out 3 giga-joules (GJ) per second. That’s another way of saying 3 gigawatts which is equivalent to an extremely large nuclear reactor. He also says it can run something big for 15 minutes. Multiply power by time and you get 750 Megawatt Hours of energy stored in the chest piece. That’s the energy equivalent to 7500 fully charged Tesla Model S batteries or ~22.5K gallons of gasoline. So the chest piece by itself has more than enough energy for flight. Hell he could just suck in atmosphere, heat it and direct it out the boots for thrust without the need for fuel with the power density in that chest piece.

There are a few movie series that have high quality pretty much all the way through. Like Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, and the MCU. You'll enjoy it. :) Yes, you have to watch the credits for hidden scenes that carry unique footage that sets up the next movie. And that's why you need to watch in release order, so the teasers are all in the right right order.
@AwesomeUSMovies

@@AwesomeUSMovies Sorry to hear about the technical difficulties. Computers are such a pain when they aren't working right And yes, you didn't show the teaser at the end, but you did comment on it. IIRC, not remembering which side the eyepatch was on (left), or the actor's last name (Jackson). :) I was just affirming that you do need to look for those, and sometimes there's more than one of them.. And this is one of the reasons why you should watch in release order, so the teasers match up and make sense. Hulk is generally regarded as the worst of the series, but it's not that bad, and you'll be getting it out of the way ... whenever you get to it. Looking forward to your next MCU reaction. :)

Oh shit here we go. I started watching the MCU all the way back in 2008 when this movie came out. Was a massive fan of the comic's and the cartoons but I fell off in 2015 with the 2nd Avengers movie (Age of Ultron) just didn't like the movie as much as the first. Just this year i got back into the MCU with the great TV shows so I went back and watched all the movies I've missed and fell in love again. A heads up but you did miss the end credits scene pretty much all these movies have a credits after the movie. Wolverine is by far my favourite Marvel character but because Fox owned the movie rights to X-Men at the time (Disney owns them now since 2020 i believe) so we never got to see the X-Men in the MCU. X-Men and other characters such as the Avengers such as Thor, Iron Man, Captain America interacted in the comic books Wolverine even fought beside Captain America in World War 2 which we never got to see. Fox does have their own X-Men movies starting in the year 2000 which exist in another universe outside of the MCU but are still great Days of Future past being my favourite. Marvel are talking about introducing the X-Men to the MCU which i cannot wait for the X-Men are by far my favourite team in the Marvel universe. Jon Favreau is the director for this movie who also plays the character of Happy. Jon is also the man behind the Mandalorian a producer, director, and writing most of the show along with other directors and some different writers such as Dave. Sony owns the movie rights Spider-Man, Fox used to own the movie rights to The Fantastic Four, and X-Men along with everything mutated related, Disney owns most of Marvel movie rights now they bought Fox so they now own the movie rights to X-Men and Fantastic Four but Sony still owns the movie rights to Spider-Man but they are on good terms with Disney. In 1993, a financially strapped Marvel sold the rights to the X-Men to 20th Century Fox. It was the first deal in a fire sale that would end with Marvel also ceding rights to the Fantastic Four to Fox and Spider-Man to Sony. Marvel back then wasn't a movie studio so they had no interest in making movies. In 2009, Disney acquired Marvel Entertainment for $4 billion where they pretty much used their own Disney studies to create the MCU to see today, A lot like Disney and Star Wars. Oh again heads up for the future reactions watch until the end for the after credits scenes the Iron Man one is really important i remember being in the cinema and all the comic and cartoon fan's were just shocked as they knew what was coming. oh and for fun's here's the X-Men cartoon intro music - kzbin.info/www/bejne/bXrdhHqsjciShq8

A lot of people _assume_ that people who don't get married and have kids live a "lonely, sad" life. While people who live their life (the way they _choose),_ without such things, wonder what evidence people, who have gotten married and had kids, are applying to such reasoning. Men prove every day, by leaving their families, that they probably would have been better suited to live a bachelor lifestyle. And men who live a bachelor lifestyle have, usually, _chosen_ such a life, because they, either, already know they would never stay with a family, or see no appeal to such a life, and have made a wise decision to not start a family...I wonder if married people, who have all this insight on single people, think it is better to marry and divorce, and walk out on their children if they had any...or let people who want to live _single,_ live single. ...just a thought that always crosses my mind when I hear the "how sad" or "how lonely", response.
