I'm 100% Team Flight Attendant here. I hate flying and a big part of that is fear, and for whatever reason when I'm on a plane someone not following the rules is incredibly upsetting to me. I think it's because any deviation from smooth operation in a metal tube 35000ft in the air makes me real anxious about something bigger going to go wrong.

It actually technically is against the law to not have your seatbelt fastened when the light is on. But it's never enforced and most flight attendants will only go so far as to remind you that the light is on. It is also a separate violation of the law to not comply with their instructions, so in the unlikely case they do tell you that you need to sit down, you do need to. Usually if your flight attendants are also sitting down and fastening their belts you know that the pilot has told them it will be extra rough, but if they are still walking around it's very unlikely anything major will happen.

Not true. If you have to have a bodily function, you should be permitted to do so. I work for an airline. Yes, turbulence happens, but the joke is how extreme it was. If you think this flight attendant handled the situation appropriately, YOU are the problem.

@@JennRighter technically it is illegal to not fasten your seatbelt but that’s if you follow the letter of the law. That being said the dude was wrong in the first place. It is also illegal to interfere with any crew on a plane which includes repeatedly ignoring instructions to sit down, return to your seat, or turn off an electronic device. Now no one gets punished for this in real life but that’s not the point. Plus the turbulence was bad enough to literally throw a grown man around the plane which is dangerous to other passengers. Imagine just chillin there and a 200+ pound man flies into you, or your wife, or your kids because the dude was thrown into isles and at one time flew up to the ceiling. Finally the dude said “I read on the internet that it’s not illegal”. People who say this shit to justify their actions need to get punched in the face. First, he was wrong, second the internet is full of people who do shit like eat tide pods and other stupid things. Yeah the flight attendant was an asshole but that doesn’t change the end results.

That's what I would do, and I would say it's because I wasn't permitted to use the restroom during turbulence. I work for an airline. No flight attendant should EVER behave the way Jordan's character did in this video. If you think that's acceptable....I don't know, bro. I do agree that there is no grounds to sue. That’s the one thing about this skit (that I loooooove). Something can be not against the law but against the rules. It’s not against the le to remove your mask in a paintball arena outside of the safe space but if you do it, they will absolutely kick you out.
