The editing in Mollie's mother's death scene is stellar. Seeing her open her eyes, seeing her ancestors, then standing up to walk away with them with a childlike glee on her face... That made me tear up SO FAST. Such a beautiful way to depict her passing.

11:27 I liked the VERY casual way the old couple were spouting racist nonsense, and how they were filmed. Cuz for them, it's just quotidian. Looking at a cute lil baby saying those God-awful things is just wild to me.

It was not just based on true events - nearly every single event in the movie was true. An overwhelming majority comes directly from the book, which came straight from the primary sources. About the only thing that didn't really happen was Mollie's visit to DC.

Lilly Gladstone win the golden globe award for killers of the flower moon .. but a lot of Americans don’t really know about native Americans and the real history which is sad and disappointing, glad you watched and loved this movie hope more people look into native history, there’s 575 recognized tribes in the U.S. and more in Canada, over 100 that are unrecognized, but thanks again for watching..

What breaks my heart is that Mollie WAS NOT STUPID! She tried to go into this thing with Ernest honestly, and she still nearly died!

I kind of wish she was the protagonist of this movie. I just really would've liked to see her point of view more into why she fell for Ernest.

Outstanding reaction. I saw this in the theater and was a little disappointed, but i knew I'd like it better upon re-watch and sure enough that's exactly what happened, at least with this reaction. Man, are they slimy in this movie. Yet another incredible performance from De niro, and one of Leo's best as well. My favorite scene is the speech the chief makes at the tribal council meeting. Thanks!!!!!!

This movie is a masterpiece. Lily Gladstone was completely robbed of the Oscar. She totally deserved it.

I can't get this movie out of my head. I have gone down the KZbin rabbit hole learning more about it. This is the first reaction video I've watched and you did not disappoint. Going in blind was a wild ride, but yes finding out that these were real people was mind numbing. My heart broke for all of the Osage descendants that had to see depictions of such horrific actions played out on the big screen. My hope is that there is a newfound awareness that leads to something positive for them.

This film is another hit for Scorsese! What a filmmaker! This film was incredible from start to finish, easy 9/10 for me. De Niro, DiCaprio and Gladstone are all easily Oscar Worthy!

This movie was educational, profound, disturbing, and all the emotions. The acting was phenomenal. Lily Gladstone and DeNiro could easily both win Best Acting Oscars. It’s a movie that you must take the time and attention to watch but it’s worth the journey.

The one part of the movie which you actually put a few lines in your video was when they were talking to the FBI and they talked about the incident in Tulsa, that was the Tulsa race massacre. It painted more importance to the fact that it wasn’t just the Osage that were getting killed at that moment in time.

He came back here to osage county a lot. There's a whole different ongoing story about ernrst and Byron starting in the 1960s. It affected my family greatly.

I felt like a massive opportunity was lost to tell this story from the Osage perspective, he was humanized far too much. It was a story told from the perspective of the villain. The history of how the Osage gained said “wealth” and why they all had Christian names needed to be told. So many ppl will watch this who otherwise wouldn’t have, and they will get only a portion of the story.

What you say is not incorrect but it is a limited point of view. If this film is told from the perspective of the rich white man, it is because Scorsese is closer to those men than the Osage. And the first to know that is him. That's why at the end, he breaks the fourth wall, stands in front of the camera, interrupts the film (and its theatrical performance) and subtly declares that his abilities as a director are limited by not being able to represent the Osage community in fiction, so both abandons futile efforts and simply denounces the lack of justice to the viewer. Furthermore, the film takes as its point of view the predatory greed of the white man because both that aspect, and the history of the Osage, are necessary questions to reflect on. The life of the victim, but also the actions of the perpetrator.

Originally Leo was playing Tom White. I'm an osage from grayhorse and we had a dinner and lots of talks with uncle marty. He changes the perspective after meeting with us. He told Leo about it and Leo wanted the role of ernest.

This Boys Life is the film DiCaprio and De Nero made together back in 1993. It's such a good film and amazing to see Leo hold his own against De Nero at such a young age. As well as showing he's destined for future greatness on the big screen.

Bring from Oklahoma, this was a must see. I think the acting and story are fantastic. It did feel like they could have trimmed it by 45 minutes to an hour. It would have been just as good at 2:30 - 2:45 instead of almost 3:30 run times. Funny how De Niro can't get away from playing a "mob boss" regardless of genre. 😅
