The 1st 2 in the trilogy are definitely good. I have not watched the 3rd one yet but I've heard it's hit or miss, depending on who you're talking to. For more Anna Kendrick, I would absolutely LOVE to see you react to 50/50 it's more serious but there are some comedic moments in it as well! Warning it made me cry but it is such an underrated film that I wish more people talked about it.

Great reaction, and yes... you NEED to watch Breakfast Club. (I'd go 4 2 0 in the case of all John Hughes movies, and this is one of his best) Should you watch 2? 3? As long as you go into it knowing you're in it for the cast and the music, because they are just excuses for both of those things. Nothing beats the original.

i love this moment and this development in the mr video saga. This was one of my favorite movies in middle school, such a wild, special and formative time when i look back on it. Watched this movie dozens of times probably, it really is great and holds up. This movie is pure fun! Sure, it’s not perfect and it’s even cheesy, but it’s always a damn good time. Neither of the sequels can top the first, but they are still pretty solid as part of a trilogy, and most importantly, they still keep it funny, light, and self-aware throughout.

I love this trilogy. I sang in a few groups in high school in the long, long ago (1997) - we had quite an extensive music program for a school with about 450 students overall; we were known for it in our area. We had regular chorus for each grade, then there was the vocal jazz group, and an all-a cappella group, and an all-boys chorus. My senior year, I was in all of them (including the boys' group bc they needed tenors), and both regular and jazz bands (I had to be on campus but already had all my credits so... music lol). This is one of those rare series where the sequels are absolutely worth watching. Can't wait for the next one!

Back In the 2010s, this was without a doubt, undeniable pop culture moment. It's funny how things come together for a movie like this. The basis of the film is purely non-fictional. Actress Elizabeth Banks who plays one of the commentators, she and her husband (producers of the whole trilogy) brought this story to the big screen. Based on a memoir about real acapella groups, "Pitch Perfect: The Quest for Collegiate a Cappella Glory". The director, Jason Moore utilized his own college experiences into his vision. From the first trailer, i was interested. A unedited clip of The Riff-off on the movie's youtube channel really had me wanting to see it. The characters in their relationships, the acapella performances and the direction of the film were all good fun. The songs selections are crazy. Almost every single one was familiar. I liked when the Barden-bellas did Blackstreet's No Diggity during the Riff-off (had me hype too). Cups (When I'm Gone) was an actual song performed by Oscar nominee Anna Kendrick, who plays Beca in the movie and was a huge record for the film. She ended up in involved with 2 other musicals, Into The Woods (2014) and The Trolls' franchise (2016-present). This first film won 8 consecutive awards. The 2nd and 3rd films aren't too bad and those were directed by co-producer Elizabeth Banks. There is a spinoff series called "Bumper in Paris" about the character of Bumper from the movies streaming on Peacock with one season done and another season on the way.
