As others have said, you want to see what Sebastian can REALLY do with his voice, you have to check out "Wasted Time." I'm more of a metal-head myself and usually go for Skid Row's heavier tracks, but "Wasted Time" is the best vocal performance I've ever seen, and the video really shows just how much emotion he pours into that song. And it's pretty heartbreaking when you know who and what the song is about. Sebastian Back is my favorite vocalist ever. Saw them on their first tour opening for Bon Jovi April 10, 1989. Knew nothing about the band, but I was about ten feet from the stage when this tornado that was Sebastian hit the stage. Within about 15 seconds of him unleashing that voice on the crowd I knew I was going album shopping the next day. For hard rock fans, the first two Skid Row albums are pure gold.

Towards the end, there's a backing vocal on the "I remember You" right before he goes into his I REMEMBAHH YOOUUUUUOOHHH YEAHHAEEEHAAA" part. Jon Bon Jovi was randomly in the studio where they recorded this and they asked him to add a background vocal to the track, so he did. @16:46

'imagine singing this live...." There's at least one really good quality video on KZbin of him doing it - and not only does he pull it off, but he holds the distorted Super Rock Notes WAY longer than he does in the studio version. And that's just one song from a full concert. Sebastian Bach is an absolute *beast*.

Well, believe it or not, there have been talented singers throughout the history of mankind since they were all human. Perhaps… just hear me out… what if, maybe, you just have a preference for a specific genre or time period based on your youth. I’m not saying it’s that, but tons of research proves that yeah that’s what it is. Amazingly there have been phenomenal singers throughout human history, and terrible ones as well.

This was my first time watching one of your videos and I enjoyed it very much. I am 59 years old so when this song was released I was in the middle of all of the "Hair Bands" scene. Sabastian Bach was one of my favorite singers and I still get chills when I hear this song in particular. His voice is iconic. If you really want more of this type of vocals there are several to chose from in that era. One of the stand outs is Steelheart - I'll Never Let You Go. Trust me you wont be disappointed.

((happy dance)) I am so, so, so happy you jumped into the Skid Row pond. There are a number of songs that really show off Bas' vocal chops. A lot of folks have already mentioned "18 and Life", but I also would note "Wasted Time", "Quicksand Jesus", and "In a Darkened Room". He has a very powerful theatrical voice - I know he has been on Broadway, and lead a long running "Jekyll and Hyde" tenure in Toronto quite a few years back. I KNEW this would be a longer analysis because, not only is Bas a new singer for you, but there is just so much to unpack. Highly talented and volatile - the perfect rock 'n roll mix. I'm glad you noted the "conversation" between Sebastian Bach and the guitarist Snake Sabo. They always had great chemistry together and have similar conversations in some of the songs above. Thank you for another wonderful reaction/analysis. :)

Jennifer! Hmm, SKID ROW ... new to me. Let's see, released 1989. Interesting. It still has a bit of a rock feel from 10 years earlier to me. Yikes ... C5! Not that I doubted you but I had to check. Nice wailing guitar solo ... uh oh ... "ask someone many questions" ... I bet I know who someone is! 😁🎸 Oh and finishing up with the acoustic ... more questions for someone. That was pretty cool. Good selection and an awesome reaction and analysis as always Jen.

Just found your channel and subscribed :) Its quite an emotional song. It was written from the perspective of a guy who cant let go of a past love. As he says "sleepless nights and endless days," everything is a constant reminder of her. Anyone who has ever had a broken heart can relate to this song. As a guitar player, the absolute best part of this song is Bach's hand off to the solo, where the notes are almost identical. Then at the end of the solo, when Scotti Hill makes his guitar 'cry' then hands it back off to Bach ... it makes the listener want to cry themselves. It's easy to brush off Skid Row as another 90's hair band but Bach is a master vocalist and much of their music is very well written. Anywho, looking forward to watching your other videos :)

Skid Row was one of my first bands, after I was kinda reborn as a music fan, starting with rock and metal. Despite the era they came up in, they didn’t indulge in makeup and hair spray, to their credit. “18 and Life” was my #1 jam, the story of a troubled youth gone down the wrong path. But equally awesome. Full disclosure, I didn’t get how good of a singer Sebastian Bach was then; I was just a teen boy rocking out. Now I’ve learned he is a highly trained vocalist who even did Broadway.

Wasted Time,In A Darkened Room & Quicksand Jesus by Skid Row are some of Sebastian's best vocals imo. Sebastian has one of the best voices in Rock...like for REAL. His vocal range and acrobatics are PHENOMENAL!! Very few others rival his voice...maybe Geoff Tate from Queensryche from around that time,or the lead singer of Steelheart, but not many have Sebastian talent vocally. Not to mention the rest of the band too...they also are amazing musicians as well which makes Skid Row one of my favorite bands from the 90's😄thanks for the fun trip down memory lane!!🎶❤✌

Ok seriously, since you're a vocalist...I HIGHLY recommend checking out In A Darkened Room & Wasted Time....I can NOT stress enough how much more impressive Sebastian vocals are on both those tracks....honestly Wasted Time was written about his friend ODing, and the amount of RAW emotion & passion he adds to that song because its so personal is BEYOND anything you've ever heard I'm sure. Take his natural gift of his powerful vocals and add like 100×s the raw emotion and heart from the closeness of his personal connection & experience and you get one hell of a moving and deeply passionate performance.Trust me,its definitely worth a watch and listen.I re-subbed (somehow my subscription was deleted...not sure how or why because I love watching you!!) 90’s & 2000’s rock & metal was the best. I guess it’s whatever you grow up with in your early teens or 20’s is what sticks with you. When I was travelling in Australia (I’m from Northern Ireland) years ago, I spent the last few dollars I had to see Seb in concert & it was money well spent 😎

Best 80s ballet by far. And the climax/ending of this song is metals equivalent to the ending of Pavarotti's performance of "Nessun dorma"

Love the reaction. It is always funny to me that you apologize for stopping. That's what we are here for. Hard to believe you've never heard this song before. Glad you have now. I agree with others Skid Row 18 and Life should be the next song. I couldn't find any reactions to Whitesnake. Definitely do Whitesnake. They have many including "Is this Love".

I was in my mid 20s when this came out. It’s so nice to see young people enjoying what we loved. I’m Sabestians twin 😂😂😂. I wish!!!
