Synopsis: After years of being sheltered from the human world, the Turtle brothers set out to win the hearts of New Yorkers and be accepted as normal teenagers. Btw, Seb the reason the new lingo is b/c they didn't have adults play the turtles. Seth got a group of actual kids and let them hang out before hand and just listened & watched them. A lot of it supposedly was them just playing around in the sound booth.

This whole movie is spectacular, the turtles are actually voiced by teens, they (well kind of over the too) act like how modern teenagers act, and all the voice cast choices are fricking amazing! Fricking jackie chan, john cena, ice cube, etc, just amazing And the animation and story itself was chefs kiss

This might be my favourite Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie to date, I just loved everything about this movie, the visuals the soundtrack, and the stellar and unique animation, and I especially love these new takes on the characters and how the turtles truly act and felt like young teenage up and coming heroes that just want to live their lives the way they want to its truly beautiful how for once in TMNT media that are actually accepted by humanity very early on their careers. Can't wait for the sequel with Shredder and the confirmed tv show and videogame this take on the Turtles is getting.

Really recommend you check out the 2003 TMNT animated series. It was co-created by Peter Laird who was the co-creator of the TMNT comics and was one of my favourite shows growing up. It takes much inspiration from the original TMNT comics which had a much darker tone and even adapts a lot of the pages and scenes from the comics.

If you real liked this movie and are looking for another series, then I highly recommend the 2012 series of tmnt, or the 2003 if you like a darker and more hand drawn vibe. It’s only a suggestion so don’t worry about it if you’re not interested 😊 great video! 2012- is known for emotional scenes, has amazing fighting and peak battle scenes (imo). Very good characters and development, and they’re all very much so teenagers, but the romance is questionable lol. Both humorous scenes and dark scenes, sometimes it can be slightly cringey (especially with romance) but has an amazing plot and backstory that will keep you invested (there are some episodes centred outside of the plot too tho). Leo- Jason Biggs (season 1-2 ep 19), then Dominic Triambone (I don’t know how to spell that sorry (season 2 ep 19-season 3), then Seth green (season 3- season 5 (finish) Raph - Sean Asbin Donnie - Rob Paulson Mikey - Greg Cipes (beast boy!) Splinter - Hoon Lee Shredder - Kevin Michael Richardson Casey Jones - Josh Peck (from that Nickelodeon tv show) April - Mae Whitman (Katara from Avatar the Last Airbender) 2003- is darker, but Mikey is still funny. Each character has development and well thought out characters. The characters aren’t very teenager-y, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing as they were raised as soldiers rather than normal children. Amazing plot and characters until either season 3 or 5 (I don’t remember sorry) where it dropped dramatically but it’s still very good. Has many arcs (alike to tmnt 2012) and has good, but repetitive (due to the hand drawn vibe which you can’t blame them for) fight scenes. Leo- Michael Sinterniklaas Raph - Greg Abbey Donnie- Sam Riegel Mikey- Wayne Grayson Splinter- Darren Dunstan Shredder - Scottie Ray Casey Jones - Marc Thompson April - Veronica Taylor This is just an idea (sorry if this was annoying, I’m sure you get plenty of recommendations so please feel free to ignore it if you don’t want to or find it annoying 😅), and I just said pros and cons for anyone considering watching these series. You should check out the Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie! It's a continuation of the series, but it was made to make sense as a stand-alone movie too. It's got absolutely stellar animation and probably the best version of Krang in any TMNT adaption
