I honestly don't know why it effects me so much, but this is one of the saddest movies to me. Not all of it, but the ending. It geuinely breaks my heart that Peter and Susan have to leave and know they can never come back. It's their LIFE and their HOME and they were King and Queen. Knowing that they will never go back and that that's it for them, it's just a memory now. That makes me bawl my eyes out every time, more than any other movie ahaha

After being in narnia for a bit, their skills and muscle memory returned. Edmund was considered a master swordsman. I wish they would’ve featured his fighting more. You can see him using two blades in the big battle in the background but it’s not featured.

It’s been 1300 years in Narnia time between the first and second films, and but only 1 year in our world. The two timelines are inconsistent with each other.

I’m so glad you’re enjoying this trilogy! I don’t know if you knew this, but Reepicheep and his fellow mice are descendants of the very same mice that ate away the cords that bound Aslan to the Stone Table. It’s also suggested that the evil dwarf Nikabrik is a descendant of Ginnabrik, the White Witch’s dwarf in the film. My favorite moments are the children returning to Narnia, seeing the cave drawings and the Stone Table still cracked from Aslan’s resurrection, when we see the dark ritual take place and that Edmund destroys the wall of ice to prevent the return of the White Witch, the showing of Aslan in that scene to remind us to always have faith in Jesus even in the darkest of times, Aslan’s return and turning the tides of the battle, and how Peter and Susan must accept the responsibility of finally growing up while Edmund and Lucy will still be able to return to have another adventure with their new friend and fellow ruler Caspian. 👩🏻‍🦰🧑🏻👩🏻‍🦱👱🏻‍♂️🤴🏼🦁 🧪⚔️🏹🛡️🗡️🛤️ ❤️💛

You being so confused by the time jumps and the throne succession drama is just so funny. He wanted to kill Caspian because he's a nephew - not a son. So, when the wife had a son, Caspian's claim to the throne was vulnerable.

"Them jumping between realities would be very very tough" There's actually a book series by Seanan McGuire discussing what would happen to these kinds of kids (mentally and emotionally etc) coming back to our world.

Finally found the time to watch this reaction!❤ Wow, how i love this movie. Peter's struggles with his guilt of abandoning his kingdom, of being treated like a kid, of trying to do the right thing. Susan and the way she showed how hard it is to live two different lives, how can you get used to your life and get over this experience just to jump back again- and although you are happy to be back you can't get to attached because you don't know if suddenly you open your eyes and you are not there anymore. OH EDMOND 🔥 i loved his character! His loyalty to Peter, and growth and level headed. He was SO funny and confident in this movie. Loved it. And of course Lucy and her, still, deep connection to the magic of Narnia, so magical. I truly loved this movie and the way they did the different conflicts that come as a result of everything. Loved your reaction. I can't wait for the next movie!🌸✨️

Basically Miraz was ruling because Caspian wasn’t “of age” yet. Therefore Telmarine’s follow him because they see Caspian as a child and later someone who turned on his own people and they don’t like that.

Reepicheep (I can never spell his name I hope that's correct 😂, but the mouse) and his soldiers are descendents of the mice that bit through the ropes that bound Aslan when he died on the stone table! Also, Prince Caspians father was the true king, and Caspian is the true heir to the Telmarine throne, however when the king died his brother (caspians uncle, Lord Miraz) basically was a temporary king because Caspian was too young to take the throne, so obviously when Miraz is given a son he now has a true chance for his family to take the throne so that's why Caspian is ordered to be killed because Miraz' power was never supposed to be permanent. Also I love the dynamic of the Narnian kings and queens growing up, living lives and being rulers and war generals then returning to their child bodies. They basically matured only to revert back to an unmature body. Nkt tocmention that when they return to Narnia in this film it's been 1300 years and they themselves were myths of legend.

Reepicheep!!! ⚔ A wonderful movie reaction Tavare and you do have a Narnian heart. Particularly enjoyed your appreciation for the Dryad creatures. The minor story arc shows Queen Susan's faith in Narnia being restored. Waiting for the train she had put Narnia in the past. She was hesitant to shoot the bear attacking Lucy. At the castle assault she uses the arrows more than trusting her bow. On the horse ride she has confidence and trust to use her bow against the Telemarines and protect Queen Lucy. At the Battle of Aslan's How her confidence and faith in Narnia is restored as she leads the archers. Always a Queen of Narnia. Some time after the movie, a family member wrote to request an autograph photo. Time passed and was forgotten. An envelope arrived and it looked familiar, the return envelope sent with the request. In addition to an autograph photo was handwritten letter apologizing for the delay as she was busy concentrating on her university studies. Anna Popplewell is always a Queen of Narnia. ⚔

The land as a whole is called Narnia ... the non-humans are called Narnians, but there are other humans who do live in Narnia

C.S. Lewis, the author of the Narnian Chronicles, was a Christian theologian, hence the oblique references to Christian faith practices. This is especially true of Aslan's sacrifice and return in the first book. However, Lewis never gets preachy. The Pevensey children can only go to Narnia when they are needed. Peter and Susan are now too old to return to Narnia. However, Lucy and Edmund will find other companions in later tales. Please do 'Voyage of the Dawn Treader', the next film in the series. The fourth film, 'The Silver Chair', is supposedly in pre-production, but will need a totally new cast by now. However, British television did a version in 1990, with Tom Baker (of 'Doctor Who' fame) as Puddleglum the Marshwiggle.

You being confused how Peter knows who Caspian is, I think is a genuine adaptation mistake. In the books, Trumpkin has met and spoken with Caspian and already joined his side. He’s caught by the Telmarines while recruiting others to Caspian side. So when he meets the kids, he tells them about Caspian. That’s how they know who Caspian is right away. And there isn’t really any sort of power struggle between Peter and Caspian that I recall. But I think that might be a sort of legitimate plot hole the movie accidentally made unless I missed something while watching it.

The nephew is the heir to the throne. The uncle and aunt are the usurpers and pretenders. Now that they have an heir, they want to dispose of the proper one.

In Ancient times & even into the 70's, Father's didn't participate or witness the birth of their children. In generations past, the mother was assisted by midwives, not doctors, nurses, & medical professionals. Nowadays - a woman can choose to have a home delivery assisted by a midwife, with her husband as witness & support. But back in the day, it wasn't seen as a man's place, but as women's "work" ; something private between women. There used to be comics & tv shows depicting all the expectant fathers talking & smoking in the hospital waiting rooms, waiting for their wife to Deliver. They opened up the hospitals here in the US, to the men to support their wives & bear witness to their childs arrival in the late 70's I think. Also - it was an ancient custom for some cultures, to eliminate an rival to the throne, once a new heir was born. So the child & his family couldn't be overthrown before they matured & made it to the throne. Just more brutal times in general.
