the three finger salute they used is a gesture from district 12 as a sigh of admiration or goodbye to someone you love. Also Gale’s name was put into the reaping so many times because he had to take extra food for his family which in return meant his name getting added more.

Petaonly pretended to be helping those people so that he could be there to help her whenever they attacked. Which is why when she dumped the bees he told her to run. And then he ended up getting into an altercation with them, which is how he ended up getting hurt.

so at 33:12 when cato says "im dead anyway, i always was right? i didn't know that till now" basically what hes saying is that because hes a career, even if he wins, he would never be able to live a life outside of the games. btw, a career is a tribute from districts 1, 2, or 4 who spend their whole life training for the games. in the books, clove (the knife girl) and cato love each other, whether it was platonically or romantically is never specified. when clove is killed, cato comes and mourns her dead body, wich is not shone in the movies. during that scene, cato realizes that everything he was born to believe was a lie, which is why he says "i didn't know that till now"

I loved the reaction super entertaining! did just want to point out that I think a lot of what peeta does in driven by feeling (of course) but also strategy, like him waving at the people on the train, I think he knew getting people to like him was his only chance. saying he likes katniss which he does actually have feelings for her but he also knew that would help people root for them. teaming up with district 1 & 2 was to actually protect katniss. so altho his actions may seem weird at times I think he's thinking ahead a lot. He's a lot more calculated and smart then people give him credit for!

The reason that Gale has so many names in the Reaping Bowl is because you can sign up for a kind of ration system for grain and oil, once a year from the age of 12-18. The poorest regions do this because otherwise they'd starve, freeze, etc. and it's usually not enough to live on anyway. Gale (and Katniss, and many others) also claim a Capitol rationing system, called Tessera, which you can claim for any living members of the household as long as the claimant is of Reaping age. You need to also add on the cumulative names in the bowl for each year you're elibible, Gale has been of Reaping age for 7 years now, so that's a mandatory 7 names in the bowl. Gale is in his 18th year in this movie, and since he was 12 years old he'd been claiming rations each year, for every family member in his home, a household of five. That's 7 years x 5 family members, which is 35 names in the Reaping bowl for rations alone, plus the 7 names accrued each year of reaping age. Gale's breakdown is - (1x7) + (7x5), giving him 42 chances of being Reaped. Katniss is did the same as he did, for her three person household, which gave her 20 chances of being Reaped as she is in her 16th year in this movie.

So the reason Peta joined that team was actually so he could find katness and help her, also they spoke too much was bc they have to make it entertaining bc its a show and they are trained to kill and entertain in that district. So the last part too the dogs are fake so as soon as the guy died they went away bc they are controlled by the game maker and they are in an arena so thats why it can be day light or night with a button bc its all fake and controlled.

Sad truth is that Rue probably could have won the games if she didnt team up with Katniss...She had a good chance of hiding up in the trees and stuff until it was over.

Maybe, or maybe not. If the game makers decided that the games are too boring they could interfere at any time so there would have been a possibility that they chased Rue out of the trees somehow.

I just wept when Rue died. She's 11 so she's so much smaller than an 18-year-old boy or even Katniss. They definitely dwell on it more in the books that sending 11-year-olds against teens is messed up (because Prim is picked and that is why Katniss volunteers). But RIP forever to Rue.

Going thru all ur Hunger Game films today. This is a really fun series of films, filled with great actors. Thanx so much for another great reaction. Not sure what kind of films u'd be interested in seeing, but if u like out of the box, make u think kinda films I suggest "Circle" 2015 American science fiction psychological horror-thriller film written and directed by Aaron Hann and Mario Miscione. and "Cube" a 1997 Canadian independent science fiction psychological horror film directed and co-written by Vincenzo Natali. And how often is he sooo surprised how young some kids are and the rules of the "Hunger" Games".... Unable to listen... Peeta and Cateness were told the most important thing to survive was getting liked and one minute later the "reacter" judges Peeta for waving to the people, that makes Peeta "stupid". The question what the girls are eating in the wood was elementary, too: "chicken?" or steaks? ...and so on....

I'm only 5 minutes in but I have to agree with you so far. He's asked questions that were actually already answered but he didn't catch it and I believe it has to do with the amount of talking. There's a certain amount of talking that adds value to the reaction and then there's just talking for talking sake and unfortunately he's doing the latter. No judgment or hate, just not my preference for reactions. Going to see how the rest of the video goes though.
