That was him taking parts from different songs and putting together a hell of a solo. Watching it on video doesn't come close to seeing him play live. Those of us that were able to see him live will never forget the energy he brought to his concerts.

@@StaxReacts In case you aren't aware, Eddie's guitar has a name. Frakenstrat. He built it out of multiple guitar parts. He is also completely self taught because he couldn't afford lessons. His father (I think) had him playing the piano. So he is also insanely talented with that instrument as well. Eddie also completely changed not only the way guitars are played he also changed how they were built as well. Main guitar creators asked him to come in and show them how to build them for better play. Eddie had a bunch of guitars that he eventually built, but the one in this video is his baby. Many say the Smithsonian has Frakenstrat now, but they do not. They have a replica. His son has his actual guitar.

Nice reaction. I can appreciate how you recognized the crowd because I was one of them back in the day and it was pure happiness like you saw. Your thumbnail for the 'Eruption' reaction is what caught my eye, so I couldn't resist checking it out. Van Halen reactions are among my favorites because Eddie was a once in lifetime experience and it's fascinating to watch how people react the first time seeing him perform. Love your reactions. The drummer is also his brother Alex Van Halen. saw them 24 times over the years. Love the solos at the concerts. They were so badass!! There is a dvd of that concert in New Haven Conn. "Live without a net" there was no better band live at that time.🤘

Fun Fact. Eddie Van Halen wrote and played the guitar solo on Michael Jackson's "Beat it". Next time you listen to Beat it, listen and you'll hear it !

Eddie was just different. He didn’t play the guitar the guitar was just an extension of his body. The part you said was beautiful is actually the eruption track on their debut album.

Try a Bass solo, this is Cliff Burton Metallica`s original bassist, there died in 1986 under then tur bus. Cliff Burton bass solo Anesthesia Pulling Teeth (Metallica, live 1983) kzbin.info/www/bejne/ooOko5WIp5JpZ6c James (vocals) look so young in this, he visuals aged like 20 years in 86 when cliff died. It chances so much about the band, the next albums the volume was down on the bass, and they bullied the first replacement, till he quit. Now the next and current Bassist is the bassist there been the bassist the longest in Metallica, he is settled in, and the band went in couples counselling.

EVH fans are always saying Eddie's; The best ever? Sure, LOL,, Eruption Cool for sure; short & sweet, .. Yeah, It seems impressive, Until you see a 14 year old French girl play it note for note at the same tempo. While sitting and in a completely relaxed state. This piece of music? compared to "Tina S's. stuff? is nearly a yawn fest or warm up exercise for her. Just Say'n .. See "Tina S". C'mon .. For real. Even Rd's "Hot for Teacher" Solo is way cooler than eruption..
