5150 amps are Ed’s signature amp. They’re part of his brand, along with his 5150 home studio they recorded the 1984 album and subsequent albums on.

It was a strong if not great “debut” album from Van Hagar. 5150 has always been my favourite song on that album. That live performance was amazing especially with the improvised guitar solo. It was so organic with all the Van Halenisms. Really miss Eddie. Sad to know that no more music is coming. Oh btw his Floyd rose only dips. Good video guys.

We may have to explore their first one with Sammy more. There was some cool odd time drum work and of course mind blowing guitar leads! I had a guitar with a Floyd Rose man that thing hated me... The guitar was just heavy and uncomfortable. Definitely wasn't my guitar. Maybe it was cursed. lol. Thanks for the comment!

Best deep track ever .. and best live version of any song ever. Most people are very familiar with 5150 as the first Sammy album ... But this this is probably the one of the two or three least familiar songs on that album by the general public

Hey fellas, nice one. Check out this super tasty pro-shot VH live song from Oakland, 1995 Balance tour (my only in-person VH concert experience). Eddie’s tone and concise playing is other worldly. This one crushes, and I’m a huge DLR fan, no question: Van Halen - "When It's Love" - Live in Oakland 1995 - Van Hagar / Other Half: kzbin.info/www/bejne/rnzWh2Rqbd6EfMUsi=A8_kboWcOS4xaM2H
