3:33 As Wolverine served during WW2 Marvel actually tried to convince Fox to allow a Wolverine cameo in Captain America: The First Avenger (2011) as both Captain America and Wolverine did work together during WW2 a few times. Captain America and Wolverine are also connected by the Weapon Plus program that was devoted to creating super-soldiers based on the U.S. Army's Project Rebirth that gave birth to Captain America. Captain America is also considered to be Weapon I and of course Wolverine is classified as Weapon X, The X being the roman numeral for 10th. So you can see why they'd want at least a cameo of Wolverine in a Captain America film. Also this film in relation to Deadpool is NOT canon. Without revealing too much spoilers the film Deadpool takes place in it's own branched timeline thanks to events in another X-Men film so this history we see in this film is not 100% reflective of the history in the new timeline. It will make sense going forward but at the moment after coming off Deadpool it would be pretty confusing seeing this alternate origin story history. 9:39 Also this rock is hinted to be Vibranium the metal found in Wakanda and of course has connections to Black Panther. But as Fox only own the rights to X-Men they cannot use Vibranium or Wakanda so it's never mentioned but them looking for a special metal in Africa within the Marvel universe is a pretty big hint towards it being Vibranium.
@skiller02958 ай бұрын
Yeah what a shame
@iReiGNxx8 ай бұрын
The metal they were looking for in Africa was vibranium (Wakanda’s special meteor metal). They used that to make the metal alloy Adamantium. I can’t remember if the alloy is stronger, but that’s why Wolverine skeleton is so indestructible. It’s basically made of the stuff T’Challa’s suit and Captain America’s shield is made of, which no earthly metal can outperform. Kinda funny that this movie referenced Wakanda before the MCU did.
@ukyba8 ай бұрын
Yeah adamantium is technically stronger depending on the grade, but the properties of vibranium make it an even contender due to the absorption of kinetic energy. Captain America's shield is actually a perfect mixture of vibranium, adamantium, and other metals making it an even stronger version of Adamantium.
@triden11728 ай бұрын
They weren’t looking for vibranium. It isn’t a component in Adamantium. The only time the two metals were EVER used as an alloy were in captain America’s shield. In universe, this was later named “proto adamantium” because it was an earlier attempt to make an indestructible metal. Regular adamantium doesn’t have vibranium in it. The only reason cap’s shield in the movies is pure vibranium is because at the time, fox owned the rights to adamantium.

In the comics, Sabretooth and Wolverine aren't related. Basically, Sabretooth was mistreated as a kid in the 1800s and was beaten by his dad with a whip or something because he attacked his brother (not Wolverine) got a piece of pie and he didn't. So he was locked in the basement and beat, he eventually just cut through the chains and beat his dad to death with the implement his dad used. When he and his brother grew up, his brother ran a circus that had Wolverine as an attraction. Wolverine then escaped, and killed the brother. Sabretooth found out and essentially said "No one can kill my brother but me" and killed Wolverine, but later found him alive seeing as he had the same powers as he has and found his birthday and decided to attack Wolverine every year on his birthday.

Zero has a few abilities connected to him. His marksmanship, ability and reflexes are are superhuman, and he's got no scent so animals and people like wolverine with enhanced senses have a hard time tracking him. Fred Dukes/Blob's abilities Superhuman Durability: Blob's body possesses a high degree of resistance to injury, practically invulnerable to nearly all forms of physical harm. He is able to absorb the impact of strong blows unfazed. He made a cannon explode by putting a hand inside of it while it was shooting, without receiving any injury to himself. Overall, his resilience appears to have its own gravitational pull. This allows him to be almost completely immovable unless it is by his own free will or if his opponent's strength rivals his own. Superhuman Strength: Blob has a high degree of physical strength. He is able to throw a man in the air with no efforts, and he's strong enough to punch Wolverine's adamantium skeleton without injuring his hands. Pain Immunity: The Blob's nerve endings do not relay any tactile perception to his brain, which is near the threshold of pain, which makes it so that he is unable to feel pain. Wade Wilson in this movie is not the same as the Deadpool movies, Disney/marvel didn't own the rights to the Deadpool (along with a bunch of other marvel characters)movies until later. However, now they do.

Victor's mutation eventually leaves him more animal like than man and his mind goes after so many years turning into the creature you saw in Xmen one, Sabertooth. James Logan BKA Wolverine doesn't hsve his memories from the headshots and his brother, as Sabertooth, can't remember who he is. Neither of them can remember why they hate each other. The timelines are a little screwy, especially with the kidnapping of Scott and at this age, and then Xavier walking, at the end of the movie. People hate on this movie, but I loved it. It made more sense the way they tell his story here. Ryan's character name is Wade Wilson. I loved the use of his abilities with his blades. That was so badass. This part inspired Ryan to persue the rights and financial backing to make the Deadpool movie. The end credit with his head coming back into frame was creepy and unnecessary, imo.

26:19 That's a very interesting question,he probably weighs at least 45 pounds more than what he did originally, it would make sense as it's a lot more dense than Captain America's shield,or vibranium,what I'm not sure about is how they compare to each other in terms of strength,wether one is superior to the other or equal is anyone's guess as there are a few different types of adamantium 🤔
@triden11728 ай бұрын
Only the MCU has cap’s shield as pure vibranium. In the comics, adamantium is more conventionally durable than vibranium, but it doesn’t have the ‘hax’ that vibranium does. (Vibration and shock nullification/biocompatibility/versatility). Captain America’s shield was so special because it was an alloy of both metals, which had both of their strengths and more. This alloy of vibranium and adamantium was labeled “proto adamantium”. Every mention of adamantium other than this is talking about the basic version without vibranium that is on wolverine’s skeleton. The only reason the MCU said cap’s shield was pure vibranium because at the time, fox owned the rights to adamantium.

Wolverine has always kept James Howlett as his legal name but some time during WWI he began 'going by' 'Logan' the surname of his Biological Father. The transition isn't well recorded in comic book YET I'm sure that it eventually will be. Why he did this is perhaps self-loathing as he become more and more aware as to what he really is. It was Kayla Silverfox who first called him Wolverine (the name of his spirit animal in native religion) . It was Colneal William Striker who first called him Weapon X. Victor Creed (Sabre Tooth) has always called him Jimmy.
