Sorry to hear of Kaci's passing Quick Dick. My wife and I send you our condolences. I Have lost a few good farm dogs over the years. It's hard to replace a partner with the kind of silent loyalty that farm dogs have. Their always happy to see you, no matter what time of day it is, and quick to let you know when someone invades the yard. They keep the coyotes at bay, chasing foxes and other critters away, who are set to thieving from the chicken coop or the barn. But most of all, they bring a little brightness to an otherwise shitty day, with a wag of their tail, and a sloppy kiss on the cheek. I'll raise a beer and toast to Kaci, and all of the other Princes of the Farm who have protected their lands, chased away thieves, and sniffed a thousand butts...they will be missed. RIP Kaci. Quick, so sorry to hear you lost your good friend. You vid today made me laugh so much. My Dad, rest his soul was that man. Had to be first in the spring and fall. Had to be first everyday. Had to be first after a rain. His firsts created a lot of headaches such as tough samples in the trucks or hopper. Finding the dreaded dry slough that wasn’t so dry. My favourite part of the day was watching the sun come up while filling the drill first thing thing. Need to experience it as words can’t do it justice. The smell of freshly turned soil and the diesel on a cool morning. Thanks for taking me home, if only in my mind.

Kasi was blessing, for sure. Been honored to have Dogs comradery most of my life. Just before the shit hit the fan sitch, the Wife and I each lost our little buddies, simultaneously, within 6 mos of each other. NOW! You try and find a puppy. you need to take out a mortgage, credit check, home inspection, ancestry.com results and a sobriety test!
