Nice new project. I would get get three shipping containers. One for furniture. One for tools and the last one for working out of...cutting and large power tools plus storage for lumber a such. Organization will make the job go faster.

Luckily they aren’t squatting. I heard it’s hard in France to get out squatters, especially when they have mail sent to themselves to the address they are unlawfully occupying. Wow, a build already set in it's theme. This is quite a challenge to stay true to the original plans. It really has some fun stuff going on in it. I think that large room all the way over to the first end in the video, feels more like a play room, especially being right at the bottom of the stairs by the arch.

Fascinating clin d'œil of a house with such potential. The previous owner's work was excellent IMO with just two exceptions: the faux timbers (admired by Louis!) and the ghastly pillars on the porch. The porch itself is lovely, but those pillars are all wrong. I'd definitely take out that lethal wooden staircase and knock through to the other bedroom to create a master suite. The room at the top of the stairs would then make a really generous en suite / walk-in wardrobe / dressing room. Really lovely house with so many lovely features.
