Ste is spot on about US sports (am an expat in the states). Unless it’s somewhere with history (Yankees, Cubs, Celtics, Cowboys, Green Bay, Patriots, Red Sox), no one watches the game. I watched Derek Jeter hit a home run at the Tropicana in St Pete FL. No one else was watching (including the Tampa players I think). Fun fact about the MLS - my season ticket at OT (which I’ve had since 1986) is less than the price of 2 tickets at Miami. The cheapest season ticket at Miami is the same price as the cost of my ST at OT plus 4 round trip flights back home. So I haven’t been to watch Miami. It’s why the United vs scouse game in Columbia is ridiculously priced (the one in San Diego isn’t too bad as it’s not an MLS stadium yet).

Killer Whales pretty much have galaxy brains, if a seal is on top of an iceberg the killer whales will swim in formation to create a wave in the water powerful enough to wipe seals off the ice and into the water so then it's gg. They also hunt for entertainment as well as for food. There is a video of killer whales throwing (animal I can't remember) in the air, catching it and repeating for a bit because they wanted to play catch and then swam it back to shallower waters and put it back where it was before they decided to have a game of catch for a bit

You either have a draft, or have academies. As an American, I hate drafts in sports. Nothing beats rooting for a local kid coming up a team’s/club’s academy. Franchises and drafts go hand in hand. Promotion/relegation and academies go hand in hand.

the junior draft idea is awful, as someone who worked for Fylde in National league / North, if we had taken some of the kids who currently play for premier league or champsionhips, the quality of our training would actually stunt their growth as a player. However our best Academy player was one that was ditched by Blackburn, a Turkish / English lad called "Tasdemir" he ended up playing for Azerbaijan at youth level :) but went to some league clubs, but for us he was head and shoulders above the others at his age.
