Your interviewer asks the tough questions Beau! I’m with her on the Walleye. Best tasting fish IMO

If you like Lakers, you should check out Nejanalini Lake in Northern Manitoba. A few fishing lodges in the area

Yes she’s good at asking questions for sure. I’ll have to try one of those places. Spread my wings a bit. Haha. Thanks for watching Bryan.

I am still running my old Eskimo gas auger. Batteries and temperature could be an issue with the temps up here.

So far so good. The issues I’ve had with the Ion were my own fault, user error. Got wrapped up in the ad videos and maybe some good editing. Once I started cleaning out the holes like I would normally do with a conventional auger it’s been working better. I was making it bind up in the thicker ice. I try to keep the battery warm and don’t leave it outside. Have even kept it in a heated sock on colder days although this season there hasn’t been too many really cold days. I haven’t had it longer than a full year yet so we’ll see how it goes. I do like the convenience but am not ready to get rid of my propane auger yet as a back up. Batteries can be good but I don’t think they’re our saviour yet.
