I wonder if your jigging bait was calling the pike in, but when they saw it, it didn't look right. Maybe you should have changed colors at that point. Also, i would have kept the perch and used him for pike bait. Perfect size. They sure weren't interested in the sucker minnow. You do have a good place to fish, though. I'm still looking for a spot like that.
