First Turret Ribbon Added To Cinderella Castle For Magic Kingdom 50th Anniversary Walt Disney World

Today, the first 50th Anniversary turret ribbon was added to Cinderella Castle at Magic Kingdom! It looks really nice in my opinion and I can't wait to see the rest of them being added over the coming weeks!

That's really cool! I am hoping to make it there in the week of Aug 9 - 13 this year since it might be my last time to get on the Magical Express. :( I know it is going to feel like a million degrees in August, but I can't really see any other time of this year to make it. I haven't booked anything yet, but it is a huge possibility for us. It would be good to maybe say "hi" in passing. :)

That is awesome to hear! Yea I am pretty bummed that Magical Express is going away. Hopefully Disney will offer a new transportation option when that ends but who knows. That would be great if we cross paths while you’re here! 😃

Do you mean the turrets? If so, they have repainting them back to blue over the past few weeks

I know they need to be there, but I hate the support beams on the ribbons, they just look cheap...if I were the one designing them, I would make the support beams gold and make them look like swirls of pixie dust

actually no... i love the castle as is and dont like that ribbonbut i lovelove love all of disney florida been for a week to the world six different times so , a week each trip so i guess i am . ok to have a opinion. actually i am a big one for tradition of disney. so i may be getting left behind.

Its looking cheap, a real mess! The ribbons need a coating of some type of crystals, micro-prisms, gold foil or gold chrome!

Oh yea this is definitely being done on the cheap side unfortunately. I personally had low expectations so that’s why I like it lol, but they definitely could have done something better for sure
