Mugen is amazing. back in the early 200's before mugen built an electric buggy. Me and a friend had already done it. We converted one you would have normally put a nitro motor into and it rocked it come out balanced and the whole deal. I still have it to this day and I will never give it up. I stopped messing with RC cars, the last 10 years and just found out my buddy is back into it again so I am getting things geared up and getting ready to run. I seen they now have this new MBX-8 and was going to consider getting one but mine is still killer so I am thinking no need to upgrade because its just as good as the new stuff. I can say one thing though They have some of the best and toughest plastic parts around.

Can't wait for results. This is a great stock comparison. I'm happy your doing it this way. I'm one that can't afford to buy all the parts to be super competitive. So let the stock games begin. Thanks

Glad to see you making videos again. I've run Mugen, Tekno, and now Sworkz. All great cars. Broke very few parts with any of them. The Kyoshos and AE cars always look good at the track but they also seem to break the most. Same for TLR before the X. Seems to be better now! Looking forward to more of your thoughts on the cars.

I can't wait for this series, I'm a little biased but I'd like to see the kyosho come out in top. I've been running mine for a little over a year and a half and have only broke one front arm and one c hub on different occasions. Both crashes were hits at full speed and I wouldn't expect any of the other cars to have survived either. Overall it's been a super easy buggy to tune and drive fast

Great stuff. Don't take this the wrong way. I wish in these car overviews more time was spent on the mechanical - like compare Kyosho's upfront motor position vs. the TLR's rear position. I think there's too much discussion over the electronics, which is not what makes the cars different - it's the mechanical design.

I don’t like that wing mount on all modern buggies except the Kyosho/Xray. The 4 screw mount seems like a surefire way to snap bulkheads when compared to the braced mount on the Kyosho. I have the complete opposite memory of Kyosho vs Mugen durability from back in early 2000s. The Mugen pillowballs would frequently break on races I attended whereas the Kyoshos seemed bulletproof.

Kyosho & HB is the best Mugen is pretty good too
@pedrolahoz Жыл бұрын
Hello, I saw an older video where you reviewed the kyosho and made the same observation of it being more prone to downtime than other similar buggies. How is this new model holding up to your I assume mellower but perhaps clumsier (you are a bit out of practice) driving? As it is easy to drive, it may be a good beginner car, but not if it cant withstand beginners’ errors.

Great video! I started a motorcycle TikTok channel and ran into the same thing. Is this fun? Is this who I am? Now i don't edit what so ever. I make the video and post it. Back to RC I'm extremely new to the sport. I bought an Associated RC8B4E kit built it and have gotten to the track twice to practice. I Truely don't understand how running the shocks dead (emulation) does anting other make you run a stiffer spring.
