Hi Guys and Girl,
Hope all is well as per usual!
I decided to throw a lil 'Rona Era' trackday vlog together 😎
I was fortune enough to attend No Limits' FIRST trackday of the year which was at Donington Park which I had booked for a while but didnt expect it to happen! 😱
I went there with my fella Mike and my good friends Matt, Eddie and Alexander 😊
As you can see, it was weirdly empty compared to usual trackdays with no spectators allowed💆‍♀️
I hope you all enjoy 👍
Take care,
Usernamekate 🏁

This is my first look at Donington Park, and this was an exhilarating ride, i marvel how you shift your body weight as you negotiate the bends, a bit scary, but you were so in control, and the helmet view had me on the edge of my seat, i'd love to have your skills, thanks for a great day out.

Great riding, Kate. I have loved how barren the streets have been lately, but it is all starting to change and pick back up to the old bumper to bumper, etc. Must have been wonderful without the track being packed.

Found a nice day for it. Last time I went to Donington was to watch Casey Stoner take the MotoGP. Also got to remember what proper English mud is, having lived in Oz for three decades previously. Proper mud in the Donington camp site around the portaloos. Lovely! And they don't even have washbasins in England! Worst thing though was they ran out of beer on the Sunday and we had to drink lager! Phillip island - all is forgiven! Great tracks though - both of them.

It’s easier on the track than it is on the road. You set your own pace, nothing coming the other way, no kerbs, lampposts, junctions, or pedestrians. If you’re happy to ride on public highways, then you’ll be absolutely fine on a track. Don’t be too proud to grab an instructor for a bit of guidance. If they are around they’ll be more than happy to help with lines, apexes, and braking points etc. You’ll love it.

Nice, got my first bike track day booked at Cadwell with NoLimits in August... Been to a lot of car drift days before and ye I can't say I've ever seen any track day that quiet. On the plus side I would imagine the sign on and wristband process was super quick, not having to wade through random people wondering around, plus all your gear should be safe if no-one is there to pinch it 👍

Rock on Kate well done just a pointer go back on to the seat hump when hard on the brakes and head down ,and lean in to the corner ,so that means that you can take your time going round the curve, and then you can go fast out when sat up right , do not fist it on the lean ,that’s your high side , no worries if you have slide control, all the best S

And I crashed bad at Coppice. Carrying all that speed, pull in your break lever and it just goes straight to the grip. Something cut one of my break lines (steel braided even). No breaks at that speed. Don't remember squat after that. Though, I went back. Not scart! Me R1 is the Yellow Limited Edition but with the Rossi Camel body work on it. My R6 is so old, hell it is carbureted but that baby has some pull out of a corner but I prefer to out break and out corner rather than chase yah down the straights. Straights are no fun.

Some events only allow road bikes, and they have to arrive on the bike that they’ll be using on the track. It’s done so that it doesn’t intimidate other participants, but there are different groups for different abilities, so I’m not sure it helps particularly. I like to trailer mine in and have spare kit, a few basic tools, spare fuel, and tyre warmers (if they’re allowed).

I feel I need to put a camera on the back of my bike before I suggest anything. I've no idea what I look like, body position etc. So take this with a pinch of salt. Whilst I can see your weights on your pegs, from this angle you don't look like your holding the tank with your knee. Into a right hander I have my weight on my left peg and hold my weight on my left knee. I don't put right my knee out (I don't think), but that's just me. Also it looks like your moving your bum across the seat more than your shoulders across the bars. In the same right hander I'll put my right sit bone over the edge of the seat, chest/tummy connected to the tank and move my head and shoulders over the right hand. I'm far from an expert, these are just pointers I found helped with my stability and connection with the bike through all corners.
