Hi Kate, I really enjoyed my day out with you at Cadwell Park, it was nice to have both views, from the front i could feel the sheer speed and power, and from the rear, to marvel how you shift your body weight to lean into bends, a bit scary, you ride so smooth and controlled, a true professional, and the engine note, screaming, adds to the joy. You looked stunning in the black and white tracksuit. Thanks for a great day out and a great high speed experience.

I don't know how your video come up but I'm glad it did!! To ease the strain on your arms when braking grip the tank with your knees/thighs, that's why the tank is shaped the way it is and it will take a lot of pressure off your arms. NoLimits offer free instruction and, as Cadwell has a few double apex's, get one of them to show you the lines if you go again.

Awesome vid. This is by far my fav track. Glad to see the weather was better than your last time (you said it was wet when chatting with teapot one) the mountain can be fun my advice is keep far left you will carry alot more speed and the front won't come up much. Also when coming out of the shicane try 1st I get so much more of a push out of that corner and get past a few ppl. I track my street triple RS. Supersport for that track is very demanding good effort!

@lilgothgirl294 жыл бұрын
Your lines are pretty good. Tips for the mountain - hug the left hander longer before tipping right for the mountain. Also the left hand side is actually softer of a crest than the right so you won't wheelie as much if you keep left which is the better line anyway to prepare for hall bends. Stand up and over your tank to keep the front down more. Cadwell is one of those places where the more you ride it the more you like it, its brutal your first time there.
@UsernameKate4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your advice Lydia!!! 😊 I'll give it a bash!
@lilgothgirl294 жыл бұрын
@@UsernameKate you're welcome 😊 the only other thing I would say after watching a bit more is your entry into coppice is really good (first left after start/fin) change down one once you've exited the left to help you tip right into charlies 2 keeping nice and close to the kerb (also gives better drive), then drift out left to the grass as you crest the hill and hold it there longer than you think making charlies 3 a late apex onto the back straight. You were tipping in too early and losing time & drive onto the back straight. Honestly though for your first time there it was ace 👌 cracking job

The fact that they offer something in between a 600 and a 1000. You often hear people say 1000 is too powerful for most circuit's (other than Silverstone and brands where they can stretch their legs) and you find some people aren't satisfied with 600 power on the straight bits. I find the 750 is the happy medium 👍

Charlies 1 and two, try and move out to the left of the track (you're hugging the right side of the track) then turn in to park straight as late as you possibly can. That way you have a better drive out and carry more speed onto park straight. I was doing exactly the same as you were doing and got told the above. It made a massive difference.
@UsernameKate3 жыл бұрын

The only advice i would like to offer is the following . Going through corners allow your arm that is to the inside of the corner to bend more , this will pull the upper body forward and down placing a bit more weight on the front . You may also find this style is more natural and less taxing on the upper body . It may help to illustrate my point if you search "Racers body position" loads of videos to watch on this .
@renevanderkraats38114 жыл бұрын
Is it me, or is it quite a narrow circuit? I do like the green and hilly character. Also, nice to see you don't need to go mental to not be in the way of others. Seems like a 'good pace' instead of 'red mist mode'. It makes me feel I should go and try a trackday) @Kate: do you use the brakes a lot, or not? Looks like a nice flowy style that I also prefer to use (on flowing public roads that is; again, never been to a trackday).

Hey Kate, good job on the video. I enjoyed it. It's been years since I've been to Cadwell. Two things I think you'd benefit from is a quickshifter and perhaps some tuition. That's not a criticism by the way, but a friendly bit of advice. My lines around Cadwell were hardly ever perfect, but I was round there with the instructors from No Limits and also Simon Crafar and they tidied me up a bit and I dropped 10 seconds in a day (I went from very slow, to just slow - ha ha). Good job, keep it up and I'll maybe see you on a European trackday sometime.
