First Update of 2025 Is....? [Epic Seven]

Honestly, I am right now looking for another gacha game. The only reason why I’ve been playing Epic Seven since one month after its release was because there wasn’t really anything like it. But this is just the straw that broke the camel’s back. I was already super unhappy with how it feels like the game is turning into a $100 pack simulator instead of giving us anything worthwhile, like skins, for the money. The game feels neglected, and it seems as if Smilegate is trying to squeeze as much money out of it as possible before giving us an end-of-life notification in the next 12 months. I’ve waited long enough and do not see things changing. It’s just sad how this has turned out. On the other hand, if anyone has a good recommendation for a gacha game similar to Epic Seven, I’d be happy to hear about it.

Another bad take. This is how every gatcha game goes when it starts focusing on PvP. And a PVP player I’m totally ok with that. The game made record profit in October with almost 10 million in that month alone. The game is not going anywhere just changing to a primarily PVP game which is common for games over 5+ years old that have competitive PVP.

If “focusing on PvP” means turning a game into a glorified cash-grab where buying anything feels overpriced for what little you get, then congrats on defending garbage business practices. That doesn’t mean the game isn’t dying. It means Smilegate is squeezing out every last cent before the inevitable shutdown. You can physically see how every single resource is being pushed into Chaos Zero Nightmare. Competitive PvP doesn’t excuse neglecting actual content, "actual" QoL improvements not the trash we’ve been getting for the last year, which is always a full on downgrade or even basic respect for the player base. But hey, if you enjoy being a walking wallet getting bent over by Smilegate in a dying game, more power to you.

​@@nathanfrawley8942 another bad take, defending shitty business practise, cash grab, gambling fill pack. No update for the game, nothing change for the PvP. There many people didn't get the RTA last season skin just because the meta was unbearable. The game got really toxic and put heavy focus on having certain unit to function. Now the game is either ban or spam certain unit. Seem pretty PVP centric, you just have to pay for it.

I mean we just got the new senya and everything and there was a video teasing us about incoming content. Smilegate probably just decided to do a rerun before releasing the new content. As for the packs, it’s getting really annoying smh Hopefully they will change after the constant complaints because the devs do tend to listen to the players…. Hopefully
