Awesome first vlog... we all see in the GGG vids that you play great golf, but it's much appreciated to see all the behind the scenes stuff. Professional golf is so competitive, but we're all rooting for you and Alexis! 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾 The egg drop was hilarious! 😂

Great blog, Marissa. I think the point to take away is this-it’s hard to succeed against great competition when you have plenty of prep time, are well-rested, etc., but you hung tough when everything was stacked against you…and missed out by only one shot. That’s a really good result, and a performance you should be proud of! It’s a tough life, but you have the talent and the mental strength to make it work if that’s what you want. Hang in there!

Thanks for sharing!! Not what I thought Pro Golf was, far from what I thought. 75 and 72 is really not bad for a 24 hours notice, driving hours the day before playing and not having a good solid meal and rest before playing. Looks like you enjoyed the experience, just learn from it and grow from it and I know things will be better going forward for you. Dong ever give up on your dreams, and I hope you have family and friends around that will keep you going and growing with support. Missing the cut by 1 shot when you know you gave 3-4 away on the last few holes may hurt, but the flip side of that is that you know you were, and did, and can play much better than that so just bring that experience and motivation to the next one. Played sports all my life, went through this many times but in different ways, but you should know there are brighter days if you just keep grinding. I took up golf late in life but I know the feeling and how it feels to come close but just come up short. You have a new follower and supporter here and thanks for letting us know much more about what it is really like playing the Pro Tour. Golf Channel, NBC, CBS and Fox only show us the good side and good things. Keep up the faith, keep up the confidence and keep grinding, it will get better and you will find success.

Hi Marissa you did a great job with this VLOG . You don't realize how much effort professional golfers put forth to get to the top of the game of golf . This video is a real eye opener and thank you for the effort effort to put it together. 😀😀😀

Great job. An important video for young women (and guys) to help them understand what it means to be a pro golfer - and what it takes to live and succeed in that world entirely separate from others. And except for videos like this, a life unknown to most of the world. Your grit will see you to success. We're pulling for you.

@seanbaines2 ай бұрын
I remember thinking last week, as I watched the scores come in, "Man, this is playing WAY tougher than Pendleton!" Then in her vlog, Alexis said that the greens were like glass. And that final cut was 2 over, (compared to 4 under at Pendleton), and you only missed it by one. Got 3 shots better the 2nd day once you knew the course, and shot better than the majority that day. I thought you ground it out tough. Can you look back and see a shot or two where, if you'd not made that certain mistake, you could have got the shot you needed? Sure! Have you ever played a round when you couldn't??? It's the game. It happens. You know that way better than most of us. So chin up. I already said something like this on Alexis' channel, but I hope the two of you can go off and enjoy your GGG event, then come back refreshed and ready to go, get into another tourney or two to finish the season, then rock the last two rounds of Q school. We are all behind you. That roar you hear on the horizon is thousands of voices shouting "Let's Go!" Be well.
@seanbaines2 ай бұрын
PS: Hope this doesn't sound like me telling you what to do or think. I wouldn't dream of it. I'm trying to encourage, and maybe echo back what you already know, because you are as good at this as you are, and experienced with tough competition golf from you university golf days. Trying to send you some support.

Golf, like other individual sports (tennis comes to mind) are so competitive and the players are ALL very talented. It's the little things that can make a difference, mainly the mental side of the game. You can all shoot par or under, it's just the ones who bring that talent on the course with the mental game. You have both, so continued success!

Keep vlogging Marissa! It's heartbreaking to miss the cut for sure. We are cheering for you! I am with you on being gluten free. It's really difficult on the road for sure. I should be dairy free and mostly sugar free also, but I do cheat on dairy and sugar on occasion. Watching Bryan Bros experience is fun and they show how crazy being and trying to be a professional golfer really is. I've become a fan of yours because of GGG and Sabrina. Looking forward to your next video. I watch from 2 Google accounts. Go strong!
