Marissa, thank you for ALWAYS being honest and vulnerable for us in KZbin Land. So very important to have someone you either trust on the bag, or find someone that gets "you" and your headspace. Figuring out yardages and aim points as a caddy can only take you so far with your athlete. You HAVE to know where their head is at and keep them from spending too much time in it. I caddied for years and would always bring up last night's ballgame, crack a joke, or just offer real world encouragement and/or "check them" when they needed to be checked. You're a rock star, Marissa. Truly, truly pulling for you. Maybe it's the dad and former caddie in me coming out, but you definitely have the game to go further. Your glassy eyed commentary after your 74 hit me all up in the feels, my friend. Hope to meet or play golf with you one day. My two girls say hi ⛳🙌

The two things in life that make it most difficult. People and our own head space. You have no control over people so surround yourself with like minded people and to help with your head space have prayer time in the morning, praise God walking the course and finish with more prayer before sleeping. Also, let things happen naturally and don't want it so bad that the littlest thing derails your hopes and dreams of playing professionally. God Bless !!

Great video, great experience sharing and great recovery from round 1 and sharing what you learned. Sports fans and those of us who travelled the journey of making it in sports, any sports, at the professional level, have been there and know, know how it feels and know what you are going through. What we admire is seeing your journey and how you are learning from it step by step and how you are making a plan and adjustments to try and overcome the normal short comings. For those of us who have been there, we know that it is not advice you or anyone else who travels this type of journey need, what's needed is just support and sharing that we feel you have what it takes to travel the journey, and know that there are several destination that you will reach before the final one. Just recognize and reward yourself when you reach those destinations that are stopping points towards thje final destination. Destination of round recovery was reached, document it and carry it forward, it will be needed. Golf caddie is very important, no matter the interaction, you both carry that vibe for 18 holes which impacts your mental thoughts, confidence and focus, so all caddies share and carries some responsibility for and how a player plays. Thats also another destination reached on your journey, so document it and carry it forward to learn from it. Darn, my comments are always too long and wordy, apologies. Thanks for sharing and know that you have what it takes to travel this journey. Good Luck at the next event and being a Christian person as well, we will be praying for future success, just remember to call your family as soon as you land and arrive. 😜😉

You are a strong character Marissa. Pro golf tournaments are going to be stressful and the long travelling, it will take it toll on you. You as you are learning to take each step at a time and learn to decompress afterwards. Also learn to enjoy and have fun while playing, it will help to limit the stress. The time with you caddie, allowed you to talk and to have fun. I know it is different to have Alexis next to you. Feed off her energy. Alexis seems to be you stress ball, in that, Alexis helps you to be calm, relaxed and knows when you need that outreached hand, like in the video for food. You have great people around you, help them help. I love the vlogs, keep them up, also a stress relief for you to take your head and mind away from the tournaments.

Your parents calling the cops is kinda hilarious now that they know you’re safe 😂 I need some of whatever Alexis is on! I love how you figured out that your life and identity has to be in the Lord first. I’m a firm believer that if we won’t make Him Lord when we’re in the valley, there’s a good chance we’ll forget to make Him Lord as much as He should be, on top of the mountain. That is something every person of faith has to go through. Praise the Lord that you know what you need to do! The Bible says that if we seek the Lord w all our hearts that He will give us the desires of our hearts. He is the one that put that desire in your heart to be a champion at golf. As fun as it is to grind and work hard, that is not what is going to make our dreams come true. God has to give us the grace to perform at the highest level. Without His grace we have no shot! Be patient and wait on the Lord Marissa! It’s coming!

Marissa, yes, it's good to know that Bermuda grass will affect the chips and the roll of your put, but always know that it grows to the west and setting sun. now about the mental, once you've decided on the shot, just swing...let it go. but once you struck the ball and regardless of where it ends, you have to accept it, it's out of your control and go and hit it again. there's no such thing as perfect in golf. we all have a circle of limitations, be it small or large, stay in that circle, do not try to force things to happen, this causes you circle to become smaller. just letting things happen and feel free to swing away and just deal with the outcome, your circle will become bigger all on it's own. But first and foremost, learn to laugh at yourself and HAVE FUN, then you'll learn that there is no pressure, just swing away, you have the talent and I love watching you swing 😉😉
