You can start anytime. Just be consistent and if you dont have a net to practice. Then practice on serves or practice on a wall.

depends on the people playing, it's an open gym. You can find people at your skill level, or you can find at a much higher level that want to dominate and won't hold back at all. I took a beginners class and was able to play with nice friendly people all around that starter level, so there was no ego at all; just people who want to have fun playing volleyball :)

Hey coach! I have a question and I would really like to see your input since your videos have really helped me get better as a player. I'm a 15 year old transgender male. I want to be a professional volleyball player and play internationally on the U.S. team as a libero, but the main problem here is that I'm 5'2". My growth patterns have been really slow since I've been about 11, and I'd say my peak height would be 5'3" or 5'4" at the absolute max IF I get another natural growth spurt (since testosterone doesn't make you any taller). Another issue is that I'm most likely going to have to play on women's teams before I medically transition, and the difference between men's and women's volleyball is not necessarily significant but it's definitely there. Is there any sort of training or anything that could possibly help me get better with my game sense and technique to get to that point? I want to know what I can do to have a chance at getting far in my volleyball career. For reference, I started playing by myself at the beginning of this year and I'm about to be a sophomore next year. Please help if you can!
