There’s this product that we use to use when I was a chef. We had these white boards we our prep on. It was some chemical we used we would spray it on there and let it sit about 5 mins and it would remove all the stains. Ask one of your high end dining restaurants

Maybe once he cleans the seat he should sign the bottom corner...hahaha. WIth a little "Puro" signature in Bright Red.

I pulled one of these out of a barn in March where it had been sitting for 50 years. Just got done rebuilding the Trophy 4 engine, plan on spending the winter servicing the transaxle and hanging a new exhaust, and getting her back on the road next spring for the first time in 5 decades.

I wonder if they ever looked underneath to see if it had a transaxle. I doubt they even know about that.

Also, Pontiac isn't coming back. GM said the TikTok and magazine ad that was produced was a fake. There is no desire to bring back the Firebird or Pontiac in general. Also, the rumor that they were doing a Corvette spinoff is also fake.

My 1st car I bought from the dealership brand new was a 1968 LeMans in Verdero green. Black vinyl top. Automati!c on the floor I hated driving stick❣️ It cost $2800.00, I saved up for it for years… I sold it in San Francisco after I lived there for awhile…at least I felt like Steve McQueen during fast down Divisadero Street heading towards the Bay. ❤❤❤💋❣️✌️Bump…de..bump..bump on the under carriage 🤡✌️❣️ I sold it and the car dealer painted it banana yellow! It broke my heart❤

My first car was a 63 Pontiac Tempest LeMans. By the time I got it, it was a P.O.S., but I kept tinkering until I got it road worthy. Lots of memories in that car. I also remembered things in the interior that I had forgotten. The rally flag trim piece on the dash. The strip of carpet at the bottom of the doors. And of course, those big cushy bucket seats. Mine was a 2-door hardtop, with an automatic transmission. The shifter was just a small 2” lever located near the ignition switch. No matter what I did, the shift knob would fall off while driving. I finally just drove it without the knob. Like I said, a major P.O.S., but she was my first car, so I loved her.

Try using Westley's Bleach White or Purple Power, undiluted (be sure to wear a mask). Let it sit for 2-3 minutes and then scrub & rinse it off. Also, those emblems in the top middle of the door at 21:29 are supposed to be chrome as well, so someone has seriously painted over this car!

Good to know you can shine up rattle can paint like that. I am impressed regardless the lack of motivation to do the entire car. I am interested in the four barrel on a 4 banger. Maybe each cyl gets its own barrel? Must have been comparably powerful compared to other 4 bangers. Since you boys tend to find older air breathers...might want to bone up on what it takes for analogue cars to run. No judgment, but those seem to be the nastiest dirt finds you work on for our benifit. Your back grounds (from my perspective) seem to be the go-fast kidney been Boi Racer cars. Yet you make the cars of my youth shine like brand new pennies. So good on you. I really dig your show. ❤

I used Westley's Bleach White on convertible tops and whitewall tires. That 4-bbl, version of the Trophy-4 cylinder would be the highest horsepower version. These cars used the Corvair transaxle and a flex driveshaft to keep the floor hump low.

The Pontiac to have in early 60's was the Catalina Super Duty. Those and the Impala SS's were the road kings back then! Even though the 1964 GTO gets the credit as "the first muscle car", the 1962 Catalina Super Duty and the 1962 Impala SS 409 were fist in my book. Although a case could also be made for the 1949 Olds Rocket 88, which had the first overhead valve engine, and the platform that every following GM small block was designed on. Everything GM (and I think all U.S. cars) made before the '49 Rocket 88 was a flathead.
