Hey Michelle! I know a teacher who plays this game and loves it! Sometimes I know your room can be a mess at the end of the day and you don’t want to leave it all to the janitors/custodians. So if you have some free time at the end of the day you can play this game! Pick something around your room that is out of place, needs to be picked up or a piece of trash. Don’t tell the kids what you picked, then set a timer (2-5 minutes your choice) and they have to pick up the things around the room, put them back or throw them away. Then whoever puts away the thing you chose gets a prize! Like a sticker, a decorative pencil, or anything you’d like! This helps clean up your room in a fun game! I hope it works!

As a mom, these videos make me tear up several times! Seeing how excited you are about teaching these kiddos and how you want to shape these little people into kind, smart, and functional humans makes my mom heart so happy. Teachers have our hearts for so many hours a day and having influential, positive teachers like you shaping our children make me so proud. Even though we are not in the same area and my children will never have you, just know that your efforts are appreciated! ❤

I'm literally crying that you do that activity where you see who is left out on the list where they write kids names. I wish more teachers focused on this each year. My kiddo is one that gets forgotten often because he's a little different and this is amazing.

It's nice to see there are still schools that do the soft intro into changing classes, letting the teachers focus on a single subject, and the kids get a feel for how it all works. Most importantly all the subjects get their equal time. We had 6 teachers that were split into 2 teams. 1 teacher would do science and social studies while the other 2 would split kids by level. One would do math and the other language arts and then switch.

What's the reasoning behind country wide schedule cards?! That seems like it should just be up to the teacher what they look like.
@djthereplay6 жыл бұрын
+C I don't understand the reasoning myself but the county is making her use their scheduling cards . Ideally the fact that she makes her own stuff would at least put that much off of the county in providing for the schools am I right about that ? Or , have I missed something ?
@katk54626 жыл бұрын
The county probably makes it to take work off the teachers
@djthereplay6 жыл бұрын
Point goes to +Katy Kenley . My thing is why is it that the county waits until the last possible minute to do that and force the teachers to use those after they already have their own scheduling cards up and ready ? Say the teacher does something that is different than the other teachers do at some time during the day then that means that the teacher has to make a scheduling card in the same theme of the cards that the county is making them use so which would actually be putting more work on them at the time anyway . Am I right or am I " yeah right " ?

Well, you really tell it like it is - and that is a good thing. You are helping our first year teachers understand how to do the many things you MUST do in order to teach. Many parents don't realize how intense your day actually is, not to mention the time you spend in preparation. You must be tremendously organized and know each child - their personalities, likes, dislikes and triggers. Then you have all these requirements from admin and the district. And you have report cards for EACH child. Yes you were trained how to do some of it but most of what you now know was not from a textbook or even a college class. That first year will be the hardest year you will ever have in teaching. You are doing a great job - and now into your 5th year of teaching! You've learned a lot since that first year of teaching and it shows. Maybe you don't think so - but you did. Your confidence is high and you know what you're doing. You're also teaching older kids - bigger kids, bigger problems, but still kids who need you. Actually I'm more worried about you and how at times in your vids you seem to want to quit teaching. You were very tired teaching 2nd grade (what a bunch !) you shouldn't be crying on the way home after school either. When things get crazy remember to just leave school AT school. Leave when your contract says it's ok, go home, relax and don't do anything school related. Take care of you. Tomorrow is another day and take it a little slower. We want you around for a long time! I taught for 30 years. 3 different states and all levels k-12. I was a mentor teacher, an evaluation teacher and had student teachers many times. As the art teacher I saw every child in that school every week. Then I watched them grow until they graduated. I knew ALL my children. I still am in touch with many of my teachers who have invited me to their weddings, baby christenings and have attended their college graduations too. But remembering back to my own teacher education there is one professor I will never forget - he said "You must love your children the most when they are the least lovable." How very true. Good luck to you this year Michelle! You are special! Mrs. Dolores Russo, retired art/gifted teacher and chairperson of the Arts Dept. Celebration High School.

The max here is 300 too unless you CALL them and ask for the secret special price of 500 for $15.

@@lescreationsdestephanie3639 Not sure, you'd have to call and ask. It's a secret level in the US. I'm sure since it's online it shouldn't be a problem if you call and ask for it nicely.
