Loved this vlog Tina, raw & real. I’m glad you haven’t focused on filming too much. I know you want to preserve your memories (which you have) but your time with Enzo is so important, you’ll never get it back and it’s so important to be completely in the moment, thinking about nothing other than you & him. Great vlog! Your boys are so lovely together. Typical young boy, playing in puddles, splashing water all about. I use to ride an older Lippizan mare. I could mount her from anything, logs, rocks, tree stumps, whatever was handy. Enzo is just incredible. He's going to be a very bold eventer. ❤❤ Love to all

I love Enzo he’s adorable and he seems to love his hacks he’ll slow down too I don’t think he’ll jog so much it’s more excitement new place etc. All the best Tina I think you picked a good one to excel on. I was always taught to keep any stick in the left hand so it lies against the shoulder. I've noticed previously that you have your stick in the right hand. It may be seeing that go over his back which is causing Enzo to move during mounting. Certainly at 30 mins he stood quieter with the stick in your left hand. I checkmark to first hack, no stick but when you gathered the reins your right hand moved quiete high over the saddle. A collaboration with Steve Young Horsemanship would make a great video and help you out loads.

Glad you are having a lovely time with him. What a star. Might be worth clicker training the standing still. You can then use it when on board when you need him to stand still for a car to pass etc

He's so mega!!! I can't wait to see a jumping lesson. One suggestion: When you were mounting in the yard, I couldn't help but think that the ledge and wall made things pretty tight. IOW, he had to be quite close to the wall for you to mount, and when you moved around to that side, he may have felt that he needed to move away to give you room. You know horses! What about getting a cheap plastic mounting block that you can set out in the open, or even on the OTHER side of him while he's against the wall? If the former, he may stand if he feels less trapped. If that doesn't work, putting him against the wall and mounting from the other side may help him learn not to move away from you (because the wall prevents it). Another idea is Freddy Steele if he comes to Cornwall. He is really good at groundwork, and could probably help a lot there. He really is amazing under saddle though! Brave and kind combined--what a find! 🙂

Inwas advised by someone who was noticing this saying to keep goin round in a circle to the spot and stand and if he fidgeted then walk around again back to the spot and soon become bored or used to it

It is so lovely watching you enjoy your new horse. I do think you were right to be gently firm when getting on Enzo. He is a big horse to contain from trying to do his own thing. But he is awesome. And have had her for 15 years now and is 15.3 and she is my life. I have been using Wild for a year or more now and I love it :) and I use the body wash and not tried the lip balm yet but I have added it too my subscription :)
