First Wing Bowl

This is my first attempt at doing a wing bowl. I turned Leland Cyprus. It didn't turn out as planned and it came off the lathe twice. No one was hurt but it was a little scary.

Your Jet 1236 lathe is exactly the one I have (blue). Encouraging to see what can be done on it, despite the flying artwork. Did you know you can add a lower speed to it? Remove the speed selector handle, and drill another hole where the handle can pull down and click in to the lowest point it will. Thanks!
