They make two types of toner, one is glossy and is used for top coat, the other is flat and use only for color matching and needs a top coat. Check their website for more details.

I bought mine from a company call MaxxHaul bit its essentially the same rack. One thing tho.. the bars that hold the top and bottom together go on the inside of the rack not on the outside. They rest on the inside rail and become structural supports.
@cuddysark13 ай бұрын
You are correct, they go on the inside of the frame. This would add to the strength. I am not going to change mine because I have added a 3/16 plywood floor which adds some strength and keeps water out when it rains. I have tried to rack mine to see if I need to change the supports to the inside, I can't so I am not going to worry about it. Thanks for the correction.
@ChefDuane3 ай бұрын

Not sure I would. It is expensive compared to other gouges with carbide tips. Also the end where the tips screw on are bulky and makes it hard to get in close. Replace tips are expensive, much more than with other brands. I like the box and how it keeps everything organized, but there is so much more to consider that a box. The way it is designed you have to let the gouge hang over the tool rest about 2.5 inches. But it is heavy duty and works well; but so are other brands. Hope this helps.

What size matress can you fit in the back? Do you run an air matress or memory foam?
@cuddysark13 ай бұрын
It is a full size self-inflating air mattress. It is about 4 inches too long but that hasn't been an issue. What the dimensions are I don't know; it goes from wall to wall. But I really like the self-inflating design. When inflated it is about 3 inches thick and gives great support. It is almost as comfortable as a regular bed. It will self-deflate. But I reverse my air pump and it collapses almost immediately.

I've been thinking about sleeping in the back of my 2015, but keeping the cargo area empty is my biggest problem.
@JF-lt5zc4 ай бұрын
I'm looking at the same problem. We have a 2020 and I'm going to build a platform like this. I think a roof rack will be helpful in keeping things once removed from the cargo area. Plus extra utility for things like... buying plywood for leveling projects! lol. My plan is to keep most of our camping gear in the back, then set up wherever we end up, thereby emptying the space to deploy a mattress. I can see spending $1k for a roof rack. It can be used for all sorts of things. I can't see spending $1-3K for a RTT, though. Not enough return.

How long is it in total, can a 6ft person lay down on it
@cuddysark14 ай бұрын
It is about 75 inches long. I am 5'11" and I have plenty of room. However I take the back seats out which gives me the extra room. With the seats in you will loose a little length, about 3 inches flat, but the room is still there but it isn't flat as my mattress rolls up the back of the down seats. Hope this answers your question.

I need your expertise locally . Exactly what a cargo space should look like
@cuddysark15 ай бұрын
not sure what you mean by locally. But a cargo space should look like the space you need to hold what you are going to put in it. By that I mean, design the space so that what goes in will fit and not rattle and shake around. Lose cargo can be very dangerous in an accident. Put all your intended cargo in, then build around it.

I already have a single burner cooktop (basic design) for when I'm out in my workshop, but it's very hard to just boil water with it since it keeps turning on and off. I'm hoping this is more consistent in it's heating. I still prefer using gas for most of my cooking, but I think this will work better sometimes, especially when making candy and other things that require a consistent temp.

I have the same older model of your lathe (in blue). Originally, I piled sacks of concrete dust up to the lathe bed under the frame, which I bolted to a platform of heavy wood & MDF. No vibration then. I later decided that was more than necessary, and inserted a shelf 1/3 way down, leaving concrete under that and sheathing it in that far. That's fine. I suspect you can do even better than using some weight plates in this way if you choose. But all that matters is the the lathe only moves when you push it!

I understand that; but it is almost 20 years old. The only reason I still have it and another just like it, is that when I went to buy a new battery they were closing out the drills to be replaced by a newer model.
