hi holly, my name is adam and i will be starting at queen mary med school this year i will be 28, i love your videos they have been a great help to me, you literally have been a source of inspiration at tymes, my question is relating age, how many students in your med class were around 30, age did not bother me before because i was focusing on gamsat and did not really think i was going to get in, but now that i have gotten in, i feel like i will be the only 28 year old among the 18 year olds, thanks, and btw why did you not apply for a bank loan for the 36 grand you needed for the 4 years, thanks, and i wish you lots of success

Hi Adam, I am 26, there are 2 other 26/25 year olds in my year and the other 'older' students are around 21/22. There are more older students in the years above in their 30s and late 20s, it just depends on your year group. With regards to the £36K that I need for my degree. I cannot get a bank loan for that amount because I am not working in a full time job and therefore have no means to repay that kind of money off each month. Also as I said in my video, as I am studying medicine as a second degree, I am not entitled to a loan for tuition fees from Student Finance England. Surely it is the same for you as you are also doing medicine as a second degree and you are doing a 5 year course? Or are you an international student? Hollie
