First of all congratulations! Very few achieve this feet. You may get a seat in some IIT itself. Or for sure in NIT Trichy. IIT Madras for example give core placements at around Rs.13 lakh per annum, NIT Trichy around 9 lakh (median placements) Studying in Japan or Singapore will be costly. If you have that kind of financial background, then good. With loan, it can affect your future decisions also as you will be stuck to pay the loan back for many years. With a good company placement from IIT, you may be able to go abroad as well.

For any PSU, it's safe to aim 70+. Yes. You can prepare while doing job. And of you have more than 4 years experience, PSUs call for experienced candidates without GATE through their entrance exams. All the best

Sure. Your approach of keeping DA as main is completely fine, as you already know 60% in it. Go ahead and give your full effort. Try to complete 90% of syllabus by October end. Just give November (5days a week) for CS, try to pick two or more subjects which is of ease to you and are high scoring. Don't worry about marks in that. However keep revising, DA in the rest two days. December on get back to DA again in full swing. Don't worry about the seats, you will surely get. All the very best.

Why not? You can choose mechanical engineering and shine well if you are interested in it. It's only a stereotype that girls can't do mechanical. Yes, it is! IT gives you opportunity for PG in IITs or NITs. You get opportunities in PSUs as well (however vacancies are less for IT when compared to other core engineering streams).

You can apply for any branch actually and clear GATE also. However, there are some limitations when it comes to PSUs. They will have eligibility criteria as BE in ECE with GATE paper in ECE for certain branches. Doing CSE paper after ECE, you will be allowed to do MTech in few branches of CSE but may not to all (depends on IITs). So even if you take another paper, better to always write your core and then another relevant paper ss second one.

That's very nice that you have started preparation already. For GATE, it's always recommended to take your own core paper first because PSUs will ask for BE Mech or related branches and Mech GATE paper. Or BE CSE related papers and CS GATE. Don't get confused on your college and stream selection based on GATE. It's preferable to take the branch according to your heart and shine in it. If you are taking Mech in Tier 1, side by side get coding, AIDS skills through courses and get equipped as well.

Don't worry about the interview process. If you clear GATE, you will be confident enough to attend interview as well. Also go through college placement training to be confident, it will help through life.

General aptitude can be prepared by school level knowledge itself. 10th std knowledge will be enough but you need to learn the tricks to solve problems. You can get a PYQs solved book and start. Also, RS Agarwal quantitative aptitude book is good. It will be useful for placements also.

No need to join academy in first year. First year just start with PYQs of General Aptitude (you can self prepare now itself) and get a PYQ Maths book (to prepare along with your college when maths is taken). I have given some book recommendations in this video description. You can check. Only in second year, core subjects will be covered, hence prepare in parallel till 2nd year end. and then look for coaching if you want.

Its better to select the course you like the most and where you will be able to function your best regardless of external conditions. Thats important. GATE comes only next, so don't get confused on decision based on GATE.

You can start with General aptitude and Maths in first year. By second year, you will be able to decide on the side where your interest lies most. Then decide on whether to go with Mechanical paper or electronics paper. Also, you can try PI or XE paper. Pls note, for you, PSU jobs will be limited. But don't worry about it, mechatronics is a growing field and you will succeed with good preparation. GATE will be useful for PG.

Do prepare for CSIR NET and UPSC Combined Geo Scientist Exam. Its better to write GATE after you complete your MSc. That will help you to get PSU jobs and IIT Mtech. All the very best.

Yes. You can. However, you need to select mechanical or electronics or any other paper you are comfortable with. Options in PSUs will be limited, as most of them will ask for core branches like mechanical. You will get PG options in IITs. First year just start with PYQs of General Aptitude (you can self prepare now itself) and get a PYQ Maths book (to prepare along with your college when maths is taken). I have given some book recommendations in this video description. You can check. Only in second year, core subjects will be covered, hence prepare in parallel till 2nd year end. and then look for coaching if you want.
