The army of the Democratic Republic of Congo says it has thwarted an attempted coup by armed men including Congolese and foreign nationals. DR Congo's military says armed men attacked President Felix Tshisekedi's office and the residence of the Economy Minister Vital Kamerhe in Kinshasa. The army says the coup plot was led by Christian Malanga, a U.S-based Congolese politician, who was killed when his forces attacked the Presidential Palace. Videos have also emerged showing Malanga broadcasting live on Facebook from inside the Presidential Palace shortly before he was killed. Is another African nation at the risk of a coup? Coup is only allowed when removing a puppet like what happened in Niger. But in the DRC case, it was the exact opposite. The ordinary Congolese people did not support the coup perpetrators. Instead, the Congolese people and the army stood with their government, in spite of it being imperfect.

Relations with other prominent Sfrican States is vital for the DRC survival and progress for the DRC population to benefit from all changes.
