Russia is not leaving the Syrian bases they just move back the equipment they flown into Syria in 2015 and so on to fight isis. But their bases will still operational in Syria even under the rebels rule. The rebels could have asked Russia to leave but after what Israel did soon after the collapse of the Assad regime they gonna make the rebels think twice now on that decision.
