From a multimodal AI assistant to new AI-integrated models, Google has gone all out to introduce new products. Google will introduce AI-generated answers to online queries made by users in the United States, in one of the biggest updates to its search engine in 25 years. This comes just a day after OpenAI released its new AI model GPT-4O to the world. So, who is winning this AI war? Has OpenAI pulled ahead or has Google caught up? Palki Sharma tells you.

Bruhhhhh Google's Video generator was announced 1.5 years ago just after Meta's GIF creator thing. OpenAI's Sora is just months old. We had a glimpse of Project Astra as "Gemini" (when the current Gemini chatbot was referred to as Bard) and OpenAI announced that ability of GPT4o just minutes before Google I/O. In 2017, Google spoke about AI when no one was, they announced a chatbot that can impersonate somebody like the sun, star, teacher etc. It could generate text based on information on the internet. That was basically ChatGPT probably copied or was inspired. But just their way of presentation attracted investors and people. Remember, impersonating someone was a key feature of ChatGPT that was advertised. Google search had an "i" button next to search results which would tell about website or article in short way before Bing

I have to use VPN because I am in one of these certain locationss and had to change to Bing from Google after getting the usually horrible, very low resolution captchas frequently when using Google, but Bing works smoothly with VPN's and the results are just as good and also not so heavily filtered. I hope the AI will not be another failure like tango, wave and many others. I don't need bells and whistles but will try their new search although I am not very hopeful..
