The actual reason could be there were no big players in the Education domain -- it's scattered for Medical, Engineering, Law and other streams, private tutoring institutions, etc. If there is one Adani like figure doing all these, probably they reduce the tax and get donations to increase their assets value to further Rs 8000 crores.

@scamexpose12320 сағат бұрын
@ Well I don’t agree with this rhetoric. In 2014, 1$ was equal to 58₹ and now it is 85₹. As ₹ has been pegged to usd since 1991, this depreciation is going to continue till India becomes a highly productive modern economy. We are no where close to that yet and would not be close to it in the next 25 years. Fact of the matter is that how slowly it depreciates in the controlled manner and let’s leave that to RBI to manage. Plus, the inflation compounded value of the currency also depreciates and in 11 years it is easily 70% of its value in 2014. If we consider the value addition index at 1.6 factor which is the average of last 10 years. Hence, 2014 equivalent of value for a litre petrol is (58/85)*(1/1.7)*1.6*104 =₹66.79.. Hence it’s proven that the cost of petrol today is lesser than it was in 2014..

Centre can't control prices. Prices are going up, because imported items like crude oil and palm oil, which are used everywhere, are becoming expensive. My sincere advise to all hardworking and honest middle class tax payers. If you have the opportunity to leave this country, leave for a country that values and protects hard working middle class. In some of the other countries even if the taxes are high, you know you are being given your tax money's worth in terms of welfare and infrastructure provided by the state. In India, they just keep taking all the time, the taxpayer, who virtually pays tax on everything hardly gets his/her money's worth of taxes paid. e.g This bloodsucker levies GST on railway cancellations, beat that!! In effect you get taxed on the money for which you have already paid taxes (TDS)

Plz resign Nirmala. You are not eligible for this job. Plz put GST @1000...% on your smile. It feels like you are making fun of middle class. Increase the tax rate on MP/MLAs income. You politicians are looting the country for your own benefit. These stupid politicians want that young generation shouldn't leave India and remain here unemployed. On the other hand their children roaming around the world. These politicians even needs security for the marriage of their children. IAS/IPS etc who are more educated than these politicians have to give security to these stupid politicians who just filling their pockets with taxpayers money. MP’s / MLA’s get free telephone, air tickets, house, servants, free electricity, subsidised canteen food in government offices / state rooms, no tolls and so much more. Its more like a lottery for them. The worst part is that each and every party, whether in power or in opposition (including the socialists and communists or the Aam Aadmi Party) support such legislation for increase in emoluments every time a proposal is placed, even if they are boycotting more important matters!! #ResignNirmala

She demonstrated great kindness by reducing corporate taxes in India in 2019, lowering the rate for existing companies from 30% to 22% and for new companies from 25% to 15%, primarily to benefit A & A Companies.

Last week palki herself said, one international FMCG company profit was 50000crore but total employees in india just 20000, then reduced company tax also. See the kindness!!!because rulers getting commission from it!! Who will save our country from this monsters??????

If unscrupulous individuals were empowered to collect taxes, they might indeed achieve record-breaking revenue figures. However, the primary concern should not be maximizing revenue at any cost. Instead, the paramount focus must be on ensuring the simplicity, sustainability and ethical integrity of the tax collection process.

I am ok if they wish to charge taxes via Gst, but there has to be a cut down on income tax. Absolutely no tax on our income , instead govt sectors and government authorities should be made accountable for every penny spent and every road with pot hole in it.

When GST was about to be introduced in India, PM Modi Ji sent a delegation of Finance Ministers of all states and territories to Australia to learn how they implemented it and know more about the new tax system. I was there at Sydney at the time and interacted with some of the ministers too. Australia's GST implementation is the best in the world for 2 reasons. 1) nothing is excluded from GST and, 2) there is only one flat rate of 10% on all goods and services. Alas, we learnt nothing...

First, CONgress is not coming to power. Second, CONgress is the one that introduced VAT, and GST. Also, with corruption, CONgress would probably increase taxes more than BJP

GST was meant to simplify tax regime. Ironically, it led to confusion and bureaucratic complexity. Its haphazard and hasty implementation was met with resistance and backlash from small and medium businesses. Moreover, it snatched power from the state governments to raise their own revenue through taxes and left them at the mercy of central government for funds frequently subjecting them to political blackmail and harrasment. Federalism is also a casualty apart from economic shock and compliance burden.
