"Trump watches Musk's Starship explode" is a misleading thumbnail. Starship did NOT explode or stumble, it landed in the Indian Ocean by design. SpaceX deliberately used fewer heat-resistant tiles in order to get telemetry data for an extreme test case. This is why we see flames. The launch livestream clearly mentioned this multiple times, their objective is to push the limits to help inform future versions of Starship. The booster was not caught since we didn't get a go ahead from mission control, a lot of things need to line up perfectly for Mechazilla to catch the rocket, water landing was safer. Huge L for Firstpost for this misinformation.

SpaceX's ambitious sixth test flight of its Starship system encountered an unexpected outcome on Wednesday morning as the Super Heavy booster failed to return to catching arms and made a controlled splashdown in the Gulf of Mexico and was seen exploding.1 day ago Sky News Australia also reported the same turn of events leading to the crashing of the space X rocket into the ocean. Whether it was misinformation or not from these sources, I don't know

It was an aborted booster catch and made a smooth water landing 3km off the shore of Gulf of Mexico as we all saw with the booster and then Rocket also did a smooth landing in Indian Ocean. What we saw as fire on the Indian Ocean is due to the heat absorbing tiles which were not applied compared to the previous flight 5. Rewatch the original video and edit this news

Not catching the booster is not a failure as the plan of this mission was the relighting of a booster engine on the ship in space where no oxygen is present, which went without a hitch. We also saw the ship do a controlled landing in the Indian sea, which was as expected and that went smooth as well. Back to the booster, the alternative plan was a controlled landing on the water nearby the launch site, which went smoothly too. So yes it is propaganda, and yes it was a success but they did have plan A be catching the booster!

Is it that the reporter is so dumb she could not even do elementary research of the mission to understand that there are established criteria to determine whether to catch the booster on the tower handle or to land in the ocean. The call was made to land in the ocean based on the set criteria. She cannot even differentiate the boaster from the starship as he was showing starship video while claiming boaster exploded, whereas nothing ever exploded..
