The bid by prosecutors at the International Criminal Court to issue an arrest warrant for Benjamin Netanyahu has exposed the divisions between Israel's western allies. While the US and the UK have criticised the bid, France and Germany have supported the global court's mandate. US Secretary of State Antony Blinken has refused to rule out support for a Congressional effort to sanction officials at the ICC, a move that would undermine the court's powers and duties. In 2002, the US had passed a law allowing the White House to "use all means necessary" to free American leaders being prosecuted at the ICC. The law was widely called the "Hague Invasion Law" and symbolised the conflict between Washington and the court. Palki Sharma tells you more.

Recognising Palistine is a joke. What is Palistine? Gaza? The people of Gaza have no claim to so-called Palistine or Israel because Gaza was part of Egypt for 1000 years up until the Egyptian-Israeli war of 1967, when Egypt lost Gaza to Israel. Gaza was then only briefly ruled by Israel until 2005 when Gaza was returned to the Gazans as part of a peace agreement. Gaza was free until 7 October 2023! For as far as the arabs living in Israel are concerned, Palistine and Palistinians are actually a fabrication of the British mandate of 1948. Just because you draw lines on a map and call it Palistine, it doesn't mean it exists. There has never been a country called Palistine. Even the flag was made by the British. Unfortunately, certain governments (Spain, Ireland and Norway) are also clueless and have been seduced by the pro-Hamas and Iranian funded propaganda machine that was probably already in place before 7 October.
