Imagine someone coming to your home, and ordering you what to do and not to do. Egypt is like that. Ethiopia contributes 85% of the Nile yet an Ethiopian mother uses firewoods for cooking food for the family, the farmers are starved while they can use the river for irrigation, some parts of the country have no electricity. You see, as to me, Egypt had to pay for a single drop of Ethiopian water she is using in the same way she is doing for the oil she is exporting. While this the fact, she is trying to threaten Ethiopia over her own resource.

Egypt standpoint is amazing to most Ethiopians. I don't know how they think. They consider themselves mighty and have always been doing things to dismantle Ethiopia, even when we do nothing on Nile. However, Ethiopia had the energy to build the dam despite their cunny attempts to obstruct Ethiopia from getting any financial aid and militerizing any separatist group in the country. Egyptians consider they have the right to use the water and not Ethiopian, but in fact they should be grateful to Ethiopians for letting them have the water for centuries. Egypt should work hand in hand with Ethiopians, but not against Ethiopia. The younger generation, who brought up hearing their propaganda and their cunny things, is developing hatred for Egyptians. Egyptians should sit down and think about the long term effect of their attitude towards the future collaboration with Ethiopia. The present attempt to enter Somalia because we built a dam for energy, which by no means affects the Nile water, makes no sense at all. What if we use water for irrigation? Should Ethiopia be treated as an enemy because it provides water for Egypt? Or should Ethiopia sit down and see the water flowing to Egypt while Ethiopians get thristy? We will prosper and be stronger than ever because God is with us. Muslims also proclaim those who touch Ethiopia will finally breakdown. Stop animosity otherwise it will tear you down.

I'm Ethiopian, I'm not supporting Our Prime minister on almost all cases. like : 1. His ignorance to our people on public speakings while thousands die of the conflict that is being created by his ruling system. 2. The inflation of currency and the new policy that diminished our currency's value even more. 3. I'm sick of his city urbanization and building parks and planting trees that peoples are all over the country dies over civil wars and ethnic based conflicts that he can't handle. And so on. I'm sick of our people here in the comments tiring to argue over the dam with other country clowns "the internet patriots" that sit back in their comfy life that is enough to talk about war where they are safe and sound! That includes me. I have a question to Somli brothers. Year or moths ago when the prime minister of Ethiopia first suggest that he would talk to his neighbor countries Eritrea, Djibouti and Somalia about sea access in public speaking, Both the three countries literally said that it can't happen. Now my assumption of the prime ministers deeds was "to divert the focus of the internal conflict that where occurring with Amhara region to something new agenda." But that didn't mean that his ideas are wrong. When the idea was introduced back then the three countries closed their doors to Ethiopia that they said "will not discuss with no such issue like that". I might assume Eritrea did that because of "the outcome of the Tigray war. that they where completely cut out after helping the Ethiopian gov.t against the TPLF" though I don't know what they want but the relationship is not as it was after the war like the time when Eritrea and Ethiopia made peace. I can understand that Djibouti said that because their country is benefiting from the only sea port that Ethiopia can use is through their country which they will made million if not billions of dollars a year. What was the reason of Somalia to reject it from start before it was even proposed? And also in general another question : What is the problem of Ethiopia having sea port and naval base through its neighboring country as a signed defensive pact even? What is to be feared of it as they all share their boarders with each other and if conflict arises that as a region they would protect than fight each other isn't it? Now I can understand that the Somalis can get angry about the deal with Somaliland. Which in that case I never heard of a divided Somila before as how I am hearing now "Somaliland" or "Puntland". And basically I didn't think that the deal is legit and safe but their was no open doors for the legit one's from the first place. I always admired Somali people because of their struggle to live through all the challenges they have faced in a lower standards + terrorist conflicts. Which I myself think would not survive. But the Ethiopians are also not different in fact now struggling as much as you do. The east Africa and the all of Africa needs to stand together to survive not to make our miserable life even hell. When it comes to war there will be no wining nor gain. We all gone die and leave a wretched region for the future generation.

Thanks for the information in this video. I always listen to the African continent events from this channel as i get informed about the good and the bad news happening in the African continent. While you are reporting from Durban, which is in South Africa, i always expect to hear more about what is happening in South Africa, since it is the news channel, most of the time, or should i maybe say, is it according to your schedule, because there is less or even sometimes there is nothing in the news about South Africa. Don't take me wrong, there is lots of different incidents in South Africa which we see from other channels, e.g. like the inside parliament events, the S.A courts events, the political parties events, the Zama Zama events, the Operations Dudula etc, etc, as those are the usual and familiar stuff. Which makes me think that South Africans are behaving themselves lately. Maybe it is something that is just what is in my head? Otherwise, don't worry about that 😉 as it was just a stupid question or statement from me.

The Aswan Dam is built on the River Nile, just south of the city of Aswan in Egypt. There are actually two dams at Aswan. The Aswan Low Dam that was completed in 1902 and the Aswan High Dam that was completed in 1970. The Low Dam is nearer to Aswan than the High Dam. If the water is free why Egypt build 3 dams from a single river? 😂😂😂
